#033 Koko - 18yr Bay Quarter Horse Mare - $300

Registered as "GSR Daddy's Diamond" with AQHA - Papers Unavailable

Koko is 1994 AQHA GSR Daddy's Diamond reg # 3335892. She was purchased previously at ELA for the foal who was just weaned the day of this auction. The info on her sheet says "this mare produces fast, big, strong, colts and she's ready to go. She's an easy keeper and current on worming" so it's probably safe to assume she's been a broodmare. They said she is sound and she was sold as grade. There are no papers on her but I do have the contact info for the seller that these people purchased her from at ELA, but these last people were unable to obtain papers from them. She is calm, easy to handle, and picked up her feet nicely. There was no visible lameness. Her hooves need trimming, but they seem to be okay, with no cracks or chips. She appears to be healthy, could use a little weight, but in otherwise good shape. She's not friendly at first, but warmed up nicely. She is at least halter broke and leads well. She stands about 15hh.

Sold on 12/16/2012 to Danielle
#032 Kibby - 16yr Bay Morgan Mare - $375

#32 - "Libby" renamed Kibby for this month's theme is a 16yr old Morgan/QH mare, used in 4H, said to do trails and is a nice mannered kids horse. She is very tolerant and easy to handle. She is at a decent weight and appears to be sound and healthy. She was ridden through the ring and rode nicely with no visible lameness issues. Kibby made friends with the Appaloosa mare and they were doing everything together. She was easy for my daughter to handle. She wasn't as friendly as the appy mare, but still an in your pocket kind of gal. She is about 15hh and of medium build. She picked up her feet nicely and there were no visible hoof issues.

Sold on 12/16/2012 to Shelly
#070 Kewpie Doll - 5yr Chestnut / White Paint Mare - $310

This mare is a doll! She is easy to handle, easy to work with, and a complete love. She was led through the auction with no information provided. #036 Katherine - 9yr Bay Half Arabian Mare - $300

Registered name JT Jazz Danzer, reg. # HAHR 7A353989, foaled 3/2/2003. She is broke, ridden through, and rode nicely with no visible lameness issues. She appeared to be sound. She is about 14'2hh. #045 Kreme - 1yr Cremello Quarter Horse Gelding - $210

Kreme is a cremello yearling gelding who was brought to the sale with his mother, a black mare #42 who shipped to slaughter. This little guy is super cute and friendly and is halter broke. Sold on 12/13/2012 to Shelley
#027 Kitchi - 7yr Gray Appaloosa Mare - $400

#27- Kitchi is a beautiful larger built Appaloosa mare who is probably 6-8 years old. She was led through and had gone through a previous auction last Monday and was purchased for 18 cents a pound. She was delivered to ELA this past Thursday with 5 others. One of the horses she came in with was a black, said to be a Andalusian stallion, although he looked like a draft cross to me, so it is a possibility that she could be bred. There is no history available on her. She stands about 15'3hh, is in good weight, and is in excellent condition. Kitchi tolerated weight although we have no idea if she would be broke to ride. She was very patient with me, haltered easily, was very, very affectionate and followed us around. There was no visible lameness or other issues. She seemed sound. Her hooves were in decent shape, could use a trim, but otherwise okay, and she picked up her feet easily. She is my favorite of the group, seems very smart, and would constantly put herself in between us and the other horses as if to protect us from them, giving them a warning face. She loves people and is very curious about what we were doing. Kitchi is probably the friendliest of the group, although she didn't take any carrots from us and preferred to nibble of what was left of blackberry vines.

Sold on 12/13/2012 to Shelly
#022 Kimi - 9yr Buckskin Quarter Horse Mare - $325

Kimi is a very sweet buckskin mare. Kimi assumed position as the alpha mare in the herd. She is a stocky larger built horse who is in good weight and appeared healthy. She was taped at 15hh. She has a medium to large bone structure. Her hooves need trimming, longer in the front than in the back, but otherwise seemed okay. There was no visible lameness observed. She was easy to handle, picked up her feet when asked, and tolerated weight, although I have no idea if she is broke because there is absolutely no information provided on her. She is probably 8-11 years old. This mare is extremely sweet, and let us do anything to her. She is the friendliest of the bunch, and didn't need to be haltered to work with her. She was easy to halter, loved attention, and wanted to be with you.

Sold on 12/13/2012
#034 Kutie KaPow - 8yr Bay / White Pony Mare - $300

#34 - "Sugar" renamed Kutie KaPow to abide by this month's theme is an 8 yr old pinto pony mare. She is a former pony ride pony, used on the ring and lead line for the last 2 years, and is said to stand all day to be brushed and loved on. She is said to be easy to lead and load. Her stall note said she is a "surplus pony ride pony." Kutie is absolutely adorable, mellow, and super easy to work with. In my opinion, she would make a fantastic beginner kids pony. She will let you do anything to her, picks up her feet nicely, and never threatened to kick or bite, no matter how much I messed with her. He feet looked fine and she appeared to be in overall great shape. She stands 10.3 hh.

Sold on 12/12/2012 to Kimberly
#028 Kubie - 5yr Brown / White Tennessee Walker Mare - $325

This mare is named Jubie. For naming purposes this month, she's changed to Kubie. She is a 5 year old Pinto Walker cross who was ridden through the ring and rode nicely. Her stall note says she is really gaited and that was apparent. There was no visible lameness issue and she appeared to be sound. She is about 14'2 hh and appears healthy, although on the thinner side. Her hooves are in good condition and she has a beautiful, soft, flashy coat. She's an all around really nice mare and well trained. She is easy to handle, picks up her feet, and does what is asked of her.

Sold on 12/12/2012
#311 Jupiter - 20yr Bay with Snowflakes Appaloosa Gelding - $400

This Appaloosa gelding is bay with white snowflakes on his rear. He stands about 15.1hh and is a little thin. He might have rain rot on his back and his feet are long but ok He picks up his feet and is easy to handle. #331 Jackie - 22yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare - $400

This chestnut mare is said to be 22 years old and is of a Quarter Horse type. She stands 15hh and is very skinny and a bit arthritic on her front left leg. She was calm in the ring and a small boy rode her through the ring on lead line. I spoke to the child after the auction and he told me that she was his horse Taffy and that he rode her all over their pasture and around their house. He said that she was very good to ride but that adults would be too big for her. She was extremely calm, docile and easy to handle. She did everything we asked of her and was very friendly.

Sold on 12/8/2012 to Spot-O-Faith
#330 Jaguar - 17yr Bay Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

This bay gelding is of Quarter Horse type and was said to be 17 years old, but his teeth make him look like he might be older. He stands about 15hh and is in good weight with ok feet. He did seem to be a bit stiff in his left hind when we were checking his feet, but it did not affect his movement that we could see. He did everything we asked very easily and was super duper friendly. During the auction he was ridden and it was said that he was a trail/mountain horse that kids or anyone else could ride.

Sold on 12/7/2012

#320 Jumper - 13yr Palomino Pony Gelding - $350

This palomino gelding appears to be somewhere around 12-15 years old. He is a very stocky and sturdy pony and stands about 13hh. He has a short back, deep and wide chest, good bone in his legs and nice solid feet. He was run loose through the auction ring, but we had no trouble handling him after the auction and he seemed willing to please. He did everything we asked of him without any trouble. I am unclear if this pony is broke to ride or not... they kept saying what a great jumper he was, but they I did not catch if that was jumping on his own or actually jumping under saddle.

Sold on 12/5/2012 to Sarah
#319 Jezz - 3yr Chestnut Arabian Mare - $400

His feet are in good shape and he picks them up nicely. He's a little butt high, but otherwise has great conformation. He is a very sweet mule, easy to handle, extremely friendly, and in great shape. He does not mind his ears handled at all and seemed to be very horse-like in nature.

Sold on 12/4/2012 to Arabian Horse Rescue & Education
#313 Jitter Bug - 4yr Palomino / White Paint Gelding - $400

This pretty palomino and white gelding is young - perhaps three or four years old judging by his teeth. He currently stands about 14hh but is rather butt high so may still be growing. This boy was extremely scared and nervous which made him difficult to handle, but he was not trying to be. He did do everything we asked of him but we had to go very slowly and carefully because of how scared he was. During the auction he was very scared too, but he was ridden and he did pretty decently.

Sold on 12/4/2012 to Alexandra
#307 Jinxy - 17yr Cremello Quarter Horse Mare - $400

Registered as "Taris Phantom Lady" with AQHA - Papers Unavailable

This mare is either cremello or perlino, it was difficult to tell. She is a registered AQHA mare named "Taris Phantom Lady" but her papers appear to be unavailable. She stands about 14.2hh and is in good weight, but her feet have some cracks and need to be trimmed. She does have what might have been a blown abscess in the heel of her front right hoof. She appeared to be lame in her front right when she came into the auction, however she looked sound during the auction and afterward. She was calm, easy to handle and easy to work with. She did everything we asked including picking up her feet just fine. We were told that she was bred to a homozygous black and white paint stallion.

Sold on 12/3/2012 to Sheryl

He is super friendly and it is difficult to get a photo of him because he wants to be so close to you.

Sold on 11/20/2012 to tadsminion
#018 Ida - 24yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare - $200

This chestnut mare is said to be 24 years old and appears to be of Quarter Horse type. She stands about 15hh and was reported to be a kids horse who was being ridden by the owner's young daughter. This mare is in poor shape. She is skinny, looks to be a bit clubby on both her right feet, has a big right knee, a lump on the left side of her neck, and an eye infection in her right eye. All that being said, she moved much sounder then I expected and I would not be at all surprised if she was fine for light riding (after a bit of rehab). This mare did absolutely everything that I asked of her, but she was a bit stubborn and pushy about it. She did know everything I wanted and did it in good form when firmly requested. She leads, backs, ties, picks up her feet, yields her quarters, and generally just allows herself to be messed with.

This mare is a bit of a special situation. She was not bought by anyone (not even the kill buyers wanted her) during the auction, but she is kinda on consignment now. She will be allowed to stay at the auction yard and be homed right along with the other horses if someone wants to buy her. However, at the end of the other horses' time, if she has not been bought, her owners will have to come back and pick her up. This is not something that they can really do. They have obviously been having a very hard time taking care of her and really needed her to find a home at the auction... unfortunately she did not. She is being offered this unique chance to find a new home, which she very desperately needs and I really hope that our network can find her one.

Sold on 11/17/2012
#040 Inky - 23yr Buckskin Quarter Horse Mare - $225

Registered as "Oshkosh Bar Girl" with AQHA - Papers Available

This buckskin mare is a 23 year old Quarter Horse. She is registered with AQHA as Oshkosh Bar Girl and her papers are in the office. This mare stands about 15hh and is in bad condition. She is extremely skinny, has some rain rot, her feet need some care, a bit of a sway back, she appears to have lice, her joints seem thick, and there are wounds on her side that looks like she got kicked. All that being said, she actually seems to do OK. She moves a bit slow, but did seem to be sound from what I could see while leading her. She has a good build and appears to have been a real quality mare at one time. She was very easy to handle and was well mannered. This mare was completely at ease with her surroundings and was one of the few horses who did not seem stressed or worried over the chaos. She did seem friendly, but was in no way pushy about it.

Sold on 11/16/2012 to Amy
#015 Izzy - 27yr Chestnut Morgan Mare - $225

This big solid mare is said to be a 27 year old Morgan mare. She stands approximately 14.2hh but she seems bigger then that because she is very solidly built and stocky. Everything about this mare is solid: her body, her bone density and her feet. She was said to be a trail horse and a pack horse, but she was not ridden. She squares herself up when you put weight to her back and nicely neck reins even from the ground. She drops her head when you reach to her poll, yields her hind quarters, and side steps at a finger tip. I wish I could have seen her ridden, but since I did not, all I can tell you is that she gives me the impression of a fully finished Western horse. She also does all the standard groundwork stuff well... leading, backing, standing tied, picking up her feet and all that. She was very nervous while we were assessing her (most the horses were due to moving bulls and an incoming storm), but she stayed right with me and tried to be accommodating. One note is that right now she is being housed separately from the other horses due to being in heat and kicking out at the others when she was originally placed with them.

Sold on 11/15/2012 to Forever Morgans
#034 Irish - 15yr Chestnut Saddlebred Gelding - $395

This chestnut gelding was said to be a 15 year old Saddlebred. He is a very big boy and probably stands around 16.2hh but he is also massive in build and of the old style. He was not ridden during the auction, but was said to be a trail/ocean dude string horse. He had good legs and feet, but he is slightly underweight and has what appears to be an eye infection in his eyes. He was enormously friendly and really wanted attention both days we were there, however the second day he was very scared (most the horses were due to moving bulls and an incoming storm) and so was much more flighty then he had been the previous day. He was responsive to my cues and very aware of my location and careful to avoid bumping me even when he was frightened. He led, tied (nervously), backed, and picked up his feet.

Sold on 11/15/2012 to Mike&Dottie
#021 Ignacia - 5yr Bay Thoroughbred Mare - $350

Registered as with Jockey Club - Papers Unknown

This bay mare is stated to be a 5 year old OTTB and there is evidence to support that claim. She is tattooed and her tattoo starts with a K. I believe the tattoo reads K8993_ and I did get pictures so hopefully we can ID her. She has a decent sized star but no other white marks that I could find, It is said that papers on this mare are available for an additional charge - not from the auction house, but from the seller. You would need to confirm that if you want them because I know no more then what was stated during the auction. This mare is pretty tall and probably measures between 16hh and 16.1hh. She was ridden (Western) during the auction and rode well. They said that she was a dressage prospect. She appears sound and healthy other then being skinny. She leads, ties, picks up her feet and allowed me to mess with her mouth. She is herdbound to #024, but is very manageable.

Sold on 11/15/2012 to Brenda
#053 Ichiro - 2yr Dark Bay QH Appendix Gelding - $225

This bay gelding was said to be 2 years old and we are guessing that he is of Appendix QH breeding. He stands about 14.3-15hh and was said to not be started yet. He is well mannered and does seem to have a very good base done in his ground work. He very nicely led, backed, tied, picked up his feet, yielded his hindquarters and shoulders, and stepped sideways at a poke. He appears to be very healthy. He is not only in good weight and form, but his fur is exceptionally soft and glossy, and his mane/tail is exceptionally silky. His feet have definitely been maintained, but I'm not sure by a professional. This boy is very friendly, curious and certainly seemed like he wanted to be our pocket pony. He was nervous about the bulls, but kept control of himself very well.

Sold on 11/15/2012 to Jamie
#024 Ianna - 5yr Dark Bay Thoroughbred Mare - $350

Registered as with Jockey Club - Papers Unknown

This dark bay mare is stated to be a 5 year old OTTB and there is evidence to support that claim. She is tattooed and her tattoo starts with a K. I believe the tattoo reads K_178_ and I did get pictures so hopefully we can ID her. She has a small irregular star but no other white marks that I could find, It is said that papers on this mare are available for an additional charge - not from the auction house, but from the seller. You would need to confirm that if you want them because I know no more then what was stated during the auction. This mare is pretty tall and is probably around 16.2hh. She was ridden (Western) during the auction and rode well. They said that she was a dressage prospect. She appears sound and healthy other then being skinny. She leads, ties, picks up her feet and allowed me to mess with her mouth. She is herdbound to #021, but is very manageable. This mare is slightly easier to handle then her friend. She has an open sore on the back of her left hind hock that appears to be a fairly shallow surface abrasion to me.

Sold on 11/15/2012 to Nathan
#032 Isis - 6yr Gray Arabian Mare - $400

This gray mare was stated to be a 6 year old Arabian. She stands about 15hh and has a very nice build. She was not ridden at the auction but she was said to be ridden English and Western, used by kids, and started in jumping. She has good manners and is easy to handle. She does everything we asked her to do nicely, including but not limited to: leading, backing, standing tied, picking up feet, yielding shoulders and hindquarters. This mare is in good condition and had nothing wrong with her that I could see - heck she was even well groomed with show sheen. This is a very attractive and classy looking mare. She is also extremely friendly, curious and easy to catch even amongst a chaotic herd (where she minds her own business).

Sold on 11/14/2012 to Kimberly
#721 Harper - 30yr Chestnut Arabian Gelding - $350

This chestnut gelding is said to be a 30 year old Arabian. He stands about 15.11 and is a bit thin and his feet need trimming. His right front knee is a bit lumpy and he seemed a bit off on it. He was very well behaved with great manners, but was just a bit hard to catch. He was said to be a been-there-done-that horse that anyone can ride.

Sold on 11/12/2012 to Kylee
#709 Honor - 7yr Dark Bay Arabian Mare - $300

This bay Arab-type mare came in with the group of them. She stands about 14.2hh and is estimated to be around 7 years old. She is thin, her feet are in poor shape, and she has a gouge on her hip. She was difficult to catch and nervous when being handled, but she did do what was asked of her including picking up her feet.

Sold on 11/10/2012 to Carol
#707 Hero - 4yr Bay Arabian Gelding - $400

This bay Arabian-type gelding stands about 13.3hh and from his teeth it looks to me like he is around 4-5 years old. He has a star, snip and three whites. He is thin, his feet need trimming and he has a bit of rain rot. This boy came in with the other Arabs, but he was my favorite of the group. He is a lover and was extremely sweet both before and after the auction. Prior to the auction he was very affectionate and would snuggle up to you; after the auction he was still very sweet but he was obviously a bit stressed. He was very polite, easy to handle and did everything we asked including picking up his feet.

Sold on 11/10/2012 to Anita
#715 Hazel - 8yr Gray Arabian Mare - $350

This gray fleabitten Arab-type mare came in with the group of them. She stands about 13.2hh. There are photos of her teeth that make me guess her age to be around 8 or 9 years old. This mare is thin, with very overdue feet, and her left eye is swollen. She was reluctant to be haltered, but was easy to halter and of a quiet and polite nature. She did as she was asked and picked up her feet willingly.

Sold on 11/10/2012 to Kelly
#717 Hayley - 8yr Dark Bay Arabian Mare - $350

This dark bay Arab-type mare stands a bit over 14hh and appears to be around 8 years old. She is thin, her feet need trimming and there are chips missing. She is sweet, calm, leads, backs and she picks up her feet but not as nicely as she should. She seems to have better then normal confirmation in her group.

Sold on 11/10/2012 to Carol
#699 Hera - 7yr Bay Mustang Mare - $400

This bay mare probably stood about 14.2hh, but I either forgot to tape her or forgot to write it down. She is a mustang and carries the BLM freeze brand on her neck. I did get photos of her teeth and to me she appears to be around 7 years old. She was of decent bone and of good weight, but of a smaller and sturdier buld. Her feet are over due, but don't appear too bad. This mare behaved when she was haltered, although she seemed on edge. Prior to being haltered she would spin and threaten to kick - she did not follow through while we were there. She did pick up her feet when asked and appeared to be sound and healthy.

Sold on 11/9/2012 to Carol
#731 Heidi - 5yr Chestnut Paint Mare - $400

This chestnut mare appears to be a 5 year old breeding stock paint. She stands about 15hh. Her feet need trimming because they are very long and her front right has a crack in it. She is a healthy weight and her fur is extremely soft and silky. She was easy to catch, easy to halter, sweet and gentle to handle, but she was reluctant to pick up her feet. She was attentive, willing and seemed to respond to natural horsemanship cues.

Sold on 11/8/2012 to Kimberly
#730 Hallie - 4yr Chestnut Paint Mare - $400

This chestnut mare appeared to be a 4 year old breeding stock paint. She stands about 14.3hh and was of medium build. She is at a healthy weight, her feet are decent but due, and her front left is chipped. She was calm and easy to handle but would not pick up her feet. She was not ridden and there was no information provided.

Sold on 11/8/2012 to Melissa
#700 Harmony - 20yr Palomino Quarter Horse Mare - $400

This palomino mare was taped at 15.2hh. We took some photos of her teeth and invite you to make your best guess as to her age. I would *guess* her to be around 20 years old, but because her top front teeth are abnormal, I cannot be very certain. She is a heavy boned horse who is a bit over weight. Her feet are very over due and need some attention. She does have shoes on all four feet and had no problem picking up her feet for us. She was polite, easy to halter, easy to lead and did not fuss with the other horse while we had her in hand. She does not seem to be sound, and it seemed to me like it might be her feet that were the problem.

#740 Hickory -  Black  Mare - $350

This black mare stands about 14.2hh and appears to be in her teens. She was a bit thin, but at the same time had a large belly and some folks thought she might be pregnant. Her feet need trimming, and she has a sway back. She was sweet, easy to handle and polite. She picked up her feet and was very calm. She is reported to be a broodmare and currently open, however she supposedly was housed with a stud.

#734 Hattie - 3yr Chestnut Arabian Mare - $350

This chestnut mare is reported to be a 3 year old Arabian. She stands about 14.1hh. She is thin and her feet are over due. Her back legs were warm, had lumps and appeared to have been wrapped. She was easy to catch, very easy to work with and polite and willingly picked up her feet. She was very sweet and seemed to want to be a pocket pony. In the auction ring she was calm, and although she wasn't ridden, it was reported that she had been started in dressage.

Sold on 11/6/2012 to Margaret
#708 Hammer - 7yr Dark Bay Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

This bay gelding was said to be a 7 year old Quarter Horse. He stands about 15hh and has a scar on the bridge of his nose. He seems healthy and of medium build, but his feet do need trimming. He picked up his feet and allowed himself to be handled but was nervous and a bit pushy. He was obviously scared during the auction. He was ridden during the sale and he rode ok, but he kept bouncing and kicking out.

Sold on 11/6/2012
#727 Heron - 7yr Blue Roan Mustang Mare - $400

This pretty blue roan mare is reported as a 7 year old BLM mustang. She does have the BLM brand and the paperwork. She stands about 14.3hh and is of medium bone structure. She is of a healthy weight and although her feet need trimming, they are not bad. She was easy to catch, halter, lead, back, and picked up her feet. She was a bit headshy, but did not over due it. Her fur is especially soft and silky which gave the impression of good over all health. During the auction she was ridden; she remained calm and rode well. She was reported to have been used for trails, gaming and sorting.

#702 Havana - 13yr Bay Paso Fino Mare - $300

This bay mare was said to be a 13 year old Paso Fino. She stands approximately 14.2hh and is of a medium build. She was calm in the ring. They said that she was a gaited trail horse who did pretty much everything well. She is thin and her feet are over due and need some attention. She has what felt like a boney growth on the inside of her left front cannon - it did not seem to bother her. She was extremely friendly, polite, easy to handle and very willing to do anything that we asked of her. She was in fact so friendly that it made it hard to get photos of her because she wouldn't stay far enough back.

Sold on 11/5/2012 to Andrea

Sold on 11/5/2012 to Michael
#065 Gayla - 7yr Dark Bay Thoroughbred Mare - $400

This mare is lovely! She was easy to catch (after a moment walked right up to me), leads nicely (even trotted off with me right on cue when asked), backs with a little encouragement, moves her shoulder over nicely and moved her hindquarters over but was not happy about it. She stands about 16hh. She was easy to handle, but a bit pushy. I think if she had time to settle in she would be very easy to handle, but she tuned me out quite a bit. She was extremely fascinated by a chicken that was running around. She was not spooky, picked up all her feet like a good girl, and was fine with weight on her back and me jumping by her side. She wasn't happy about having her teeth looked at, but was a star about having her tattoo looked at. She moved sound at a walk and trot and her legs look clean. Her feet need a trim, but otherwise she is in great condition.

#905 Gold -  Palomino  Gelding - $400

This boy is very well mannered, but not happy about being with horses he doesn't know. He was easy to catch, and when I lef him to the overhang to get out of the rain the whole gang followed (the Paint mare, Ghost, and Gizmo), and he gave them the stink eye, although never offered to kick. He backs, moves his front and back end over when asked, was fine with me jumping at his side and leaning weight on him, and leads nicely. He even dropped his head after a few moments of asking. He was calm, but jumped every time the camera flashed. No scars that I saw, just a recent skinned mark on his face. He was sweet, just a bit reserved. Shod all the way around. He seemed to move fine, although when asked to turn it looked like he might have been a little sore, but it may have been he was just being careful on the wet cement. Anyone interested in him should check him out in person for this.

This chestnut Arabian is reported to be a 2 year old stallion. He stands about 14.3hh and is light boned. He is at good weight and his feet are well maintained. He has a star on his forehead and a scare on his LH with some swelling. He was very high strung, but calmed down to allow handling and was actually very good for that. He picked up his feet great and allowed us to look at his teeth. In the auction ring he was extremely prance and nervous.

#006 Glamfairy - 16yr Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare - $400

Sold on 10/14/2012 to Pony Up
#500 Ginger - 20yr Chestnut  Mare - $400

This mare is an absolute sweetheart. Very friendly, very well behaved. She's in decent flesh, but could use a bit of weight. She appears to be older, perhaps late teens? She could be part Arabian, and has what could be an old brand on her neck. It's not very clear, however. The brand (if that's what it is) is on the LEFT side of the neck, so she could be a BLM mustang (IF it's a brand). It's very fuzzy/blurry and trails off, so I will post a photo and let each person try to figure it out. She had an accident of some sort yesterday, as she had been bleeding from a spot just under her forelock. She also has an old scar under her forelock. She was shod on all four feet. Had a very small old abscess blowout on one front hoof. She is slightly swaybacked. She's around 15.2 hands high.

Sold on 10/14/2012 to Sam&Deb
#063 Ghost -  Gray Welsh Mare - $400

This gray mare was said to be a Welsh cross. She stands about 14.2hh and is very cute. She is of healthy weight and her feet are well maintained, but she does have a droopy left eye. She leads, ties, backs, and picks up her feet but would not allow her mouth to be looked at and so we don't have an age guess for her. She was otherwise pleasant and easy to work with.

Sold on 10/14/2012 to Dani
#037 Gambler -  Chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding - $400

This chestnut gelding appeared to be of Thoroughbred type and stood about 15.3hh. He was constantly pacing in his run and appeared to move mostly sound, but his knees are very swollen - especially his left one. He is a bit thin but fine, and his feet look pretty good. He allowed his feet to be picked up and himself to be handled, but he was anxious and really wanted to keep pacing around. He does have shoes on all four feet. He has a blaze and a sock on his left hind.

Sold on 10/14/2012 to Dawn
#499 Gala - 15yr Gray Arabian Gelding - $400

Gala is a very nice gelding. He's very friendly, in good flesh, no obvious scars or marks. He looked to be sound, and we observed him trotting on a soft surface. He is shod on all four feet, so we would assume he is broke to ride. He is due for a trim. He appears to be very muscular for an Arabian, and he would appear to be of Polish breeding. He's about 14.2 hands high. He is fleabitten, although that does not show up very clearly in my photos. He does have a slight problem with respecting space, but a tug on the rope halter made him instantly remember his manners, and he seems to be extremely bonded with the mare, which was part of the problem with the respecting space issue.

Sold on 10/14/2012 to Sheryl
#025 Gunner -  Bay / White Paint Stallion - $400

This bay and white pinto stallion was run through loose with no information. He is a shorter horse probably standing about 14.2hh but is stocky and well built. This guy is actually quite the looker with his loud color and nice build. He is at good weight, but his feet do need some attention. He was curious and fairly friendly, but it seemed as though he had very little handling.

Sold on 10/13/2012 to Linda
#008 Glitter - 15yr Bay / White Paint Mare - $400

Registered as with - Papers

She was calm and well mannered when she was led through the sale ring.

#040 Genie - 11yr Bay Roan Appaloosa Mare - $400

This bay roan Appaloosa mare is 11 years old and stands about 14.1hh. She is in good condition (perhaps a bit overweight) and has good feet. She was very well mannered and easy to handled. She picked up her feet and did everything asked of her. She does have some scars on her LH but I didn't see them bothering her. She was calm and rode well in the sales ring. Her old owner says that she has been used for trail riding, trail competitions and medevil reenactment games. They say she crosses water, bridges, logs, balance beams and will walk over tarps. She is supposedly good for the farrier and has been barefoot for the last several years but wears boots on the trail. She is said to load easily, be an easy keeper and to have been used in 4H in the past. Apparently she has only ever had two owners, and I do have the contact info for the last owner if someone needs to contact her.

#055 Gypsy - 6yr Bay Roan Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

This bay roan gelding was given no history, however he appears to be around 6 years old and of Quarter Horse type. He stands about 14.1hh and has two hind socks. He is thin, his feet are overdue, and he has assorted cuts and marks all over him that make him look as though he was beat on by other horses. He picks up his feet and was easy to halter and handle, but he did not like his mouth messed with at all so we just got a quick glimpse of his teeth.

She was very sweet, friendly and had good manners. She picked up her feet and was easy to halter.

#053 Giant - 20yr Dark Bay Thoroughbred Gelding - $400

Registered as "Black Dawn" with Jockey Club - Papers

This dark bay OTTB gelding was said to be 20 years old, but I think he is younger. He was taped at 16.3hh and gives the impression of even larger. He is a bit thin and his feet are overdue, but he doesn't look bad. He was very friendly and mostly easy to handle except that he wasn't thrilled about having his mouth looked at. He is tattooed. He picked up his feet easily but does appear to have some issue with being left tied. He spent a few hours today weaving and vigorously nodding his head.

#209 Elena -  Chestnut  Mare - $400

Nice sturdily built mare with a few scrapes from the trailer ride, some marks on her that look like old rope burns, a soft squishy growth on her 'armpit'. Hooves were not grotesque, but could use trimming. She had old wire cut marks on her front pasterns, and her frogs looked terrible. Friendly, had no problems haltering, leading, backing, picking up feet. She wasn't thrilled about having us look at her teeth, but we did get photos.

Sold on 9/17/2012 to Shelby
#208 Edison -  Bay Morgan Gelding - $400

This bay gelding stands around 14.2hh and is of a Morgan type. This horse and his two fellow drops were quite friendly. They came right up to me when I first walked over to them. He has several old injuries to his side--possible rope burns? He has decent conformation, and except for a big crack in his left front hoof, his hooves seemed to be ok. I had managed to pick his left front hoof up earlier when I was alone, but later he would not pick up his feet for me. We also could not get him to open his mouth to get photos of his teeth.

Sold on 9/17/2012 to Forever Morgans
#387 Elijah - 5yr Chestnut Paint Gelding - $400

This is one BIG handsome boy. His front hooves have had cuts made in them, possibly to try to relieve a founder episode? He was very calm, led well, moved hindquarters, picked up all hooves we asked for. His right front sole is completely flat--virtually no frog there. The left front is better, although still rather flat. Rear left hoof looked fairly normal, although his hooves were definitely in need of a trim. He's in pain from the front hooves, but did his best to please.

Sold on 9/15/2012 to Trishia
#034 Fabby - 7yr Palomino Leopard Tennessee Walker Mare - $345

This mare is a 7 year old Walkaloosa. She stands about 15hh and is absolutely gorgeous. I don't know how to call her color, but she is a white mare who has tons and tons of little yellow spots all over her body. She is in good condition, good feet, and has good conformation. She knows her name and will come to you when you call her "Abby". She was very friendly and sweet before the auction and kept turning her rear for you to scratch. After the auction she was easy to catch, lead, ties, picks up her front feet fine and handled well until we tried to pick up her back feet. As soon as we reached for her back feet she threatened to kick and when we tried a second time she actually attempted to kick us. She did not have any problem with folks putting weight on her back or jumping as though they were going to mount. She is said to be a trail horse and been shown in halter and both English and Western pleasure. She is said to be up to date on wormer and shots. She was supposedly brought to the sale because she kicked her prior owner.

Sold on 9/14/2012 to Elesha
#026 Freedom - 20yr Dun Quarter Horse Gelding - $225

This dun gelding of Quarter Horse type was simply said to be "older". We have taken pictures of his teeth and he appears to be around 20 years old to me. He stands about 15.2hh and is of an Appendix type build. This boy did not come with any history at all and was led through the ring. He is skinny, has a bunch of rub marks, a swollen sheath and his tail is one big mat. He is very friendly, sweet and well mannered. He leads, ties, backs and picks up his feet. He did absolutely nothing wrong.

Sold on 9/13/2012
#036 Fantasia - 20yr Bay Quarter Horse Mare - $225

This bay Quarab mare stands about 14.1hh and was said to be 20 years old but her teeth look older to me. She is a bit thin, but is otherwise in good shape. Her feet look good and she has shoes on all four hooves. Even her fur looks to be healthy. She leads, ties, backs, picks up her feet, and lets you mess with her mouth. This mare was exceedingly well mannered and well behaved. She was sweet, calm, friendly and willing. She is older, but is in really good shape and has a great disposition. She was ridden in the sales ring and rode very well. She is said to have been used in gaming and parades and that she was a rodeo queen horse.

#030 Falcon - 10yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Gelding - $295

This chestnut gelding appears to be around 10 years old and of a Quarter Horse type. He stands about 14.3hh and is in pretty good condition. He is in good weight, his coat is glossy and his feet are in good shape but are very thrushy. He is a very good looking boy and the photos really do not do him justice as he was the last horse I evaluated and the light was gone. He leads, ties, backs, picks up his feet and allows himself to be handled however you like. He is polite, well mannered and sweet. He was ridden though the auction and was said to be used by an old man as a trail horse.

#386 Emma -  Chestnut / White Paint Mare - $400

Talk about flashy! This is a very nicely put together paint mare. Short, at 14.1 hands high. Hooves are decent, although nothing to write home about. Need trimming, as usual. She haltered, led, back, etc., etc., without issue. Very friendly, as well. Took us a few tries to get photos of her teeth, but she did eventually let us take them. Her right eye is a bit swollen, and a little bit of goopy stuff is there. She was shaking her head quite a bit--possibly from this? She has old healed scars, and a soft puffy thing going on on the point of her left hip. Appeared to be sound.

Sold on 9/13/2012
#012 Fiona - 9yr Dun Quarter Horse Mare - $350

Fiona is a dun mare of Quarter Horse type. She was said to be 9 years old and her teeth were photographed. She stands around 14.1-14.2hh and weighs around 900 lbs. She is at good weight, but her feet need work. They are over grown and there are small cracks in her front right hoof that will probably come out in a trim. She also has thrush in all her hooves and her soles appear to be in poor condition. She has a star, one sock, a line down her back and faint leg barring. She was ridden in the auction ring and rode well. It was said that she was used for riding in the arena and on the trails and that she needed to be ridden in a hackamore.

#028 Fawn - 5yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare - $385

Registered as "CR Promiscuous Girl" with AQHA - Papers Unknown

Fawn was rode in through the ring and was sold as sound. She rode nicely and I did not observe any visible lameness. Her hooves appear to be in decent condition and her overall condition was good although she is on the thinner side. She is a beautiful mare, picked up her feet nicely in front but was not as willing in the back, although I was able to pick them up. She had nice ground manners and was respectful of my space, although she was nervous. This mare is registered as "CR Promiscuous Girl" with the AQHA. Oregon Foaled 2/10/07 registration no. 4959662. HYPP = N/N. There was a transfer mess up with the papers so they may not be available until that issue is corrected.

This 20 year old chestnut Quarter Horse mare was taped at 15hh. She is a bit thin with some sway back, a crack in her left hind hoof and chips in the others. I wrote her down as a Quarter Horse type, but she would actually probably be considered a Paint since she had white stockings up past her knees. She also has white hairs through out her coat. This mare is extremely friendly, calm and easy to handle. She did everything that was asked of her as soon as it was asked and never got grumpy. She was calm when she was ridden in the sales ring and they said that she was beginner safe.

#023 Esprit - 11yr Dark Bay Thoroughbred Mare - $400

Registered as with - Papers

This dark bay Thoroughbred mare appeared to be around 11 or 12 years old by her teeth. She was taped at 15.2hh. She is in excellent body condition and her feet and teeth look good. She was spooky in the ring but was good out back. She leads, backs, and picks up her feet. They said that she was broke to ride but she was only led through the ring.

Sold on 9/6/2012 to Lynda
#015 Evan - 12yr Bay Paint Gelding - $400

Registered as "Just A TommyGun" with APHA - Papers Unknown

This bay gelding appears to be a 12 year old Thoroughbred. He stands about 16.1hh and has a star and snip. He is thin and has an old wire cut through the coronet on his right hind hoof. His hooves are overdue for a trim and he has shoes on his front feet. He appears sound and did pick up his feet but he was very nervous and stressed so it took a bit. In the ring he was calm and although he was not ridden through, they said that he was a trail and arena horse. I don't remember if we checked this horse for a tattoo.

Sold on 9/5/2012 to Leslie
#019 Ennis - 5yr Perlino Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

This gelding is a 5 year old perlino of Quarter Horse type. He stands about 14.2hh and is of a stocky build. He has an old injury or absess on the back left foot right up the hoof. He has a lump under his chest and his right back leg appeared swollen. In the auction ring he was very calm and rode pretty well.

Sold on 9/5/2012 to Jennifer
#026 Eddy - 14yr Palomino Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

This 14 year old palomino gelding of Quarter Horse type was taped at 15hh. This boy was a mess at the auction and we were told that he had been in a trailer accident on the way to the auction as well as another one shortly before. He had shallow cuts all over, assorted bruising and swelling, and a big cut on the leg. He acted like he was in shock, but he was seen getting drugs before the auction. This boy was led through the auction but was said to be broke for kids to ride.

Sold on 9/5/2012
#025 Eclipse - 13yr Bay Thoroughbred Gelding - $400

Registered as with - Papers

This bay Thoroughbred gelding appeared to be in his early teens judging from his teeth. He was taped at about 16.2hh and has no markings. He was in excellent shape and didn't appear to have any issues but he does have stitches by his left eye. He is a very good looking horse and did what was asked, but he was very nervous and stressed out. I was told before the auction that he had flipped over in a trailer on the way to the auction.

Sold on 9/5/2012 to Shannon
#002 Erik - 8yr Chestnut / White Paint Gelding - $400

This 8yr chestnut and white pinto gelding stands 15.3hh. He was calm in the ring and has a nice solid build. They said that he was broke to ride, but he was only led through the auction. He picked up all his feet, but was a bit jerky picking up his back feet.

Sold on 9/4/2012 to Juliane
#012 Enigma - 12yr Gray Andalusian Gelding - $400

This gray gelding was said to be 12 years old and was taped at 16hh. This gelding was said to be an Andalusian horse, and he may well have Spanish blood as he does have some characteristics including a roman nose. This boy is very calm, well behaved and willing to do as asked. He was said to be kid safe and gaited, but he was only led through the auction. He leads, backs, ties, picks up his feet. He has some old wire cuts on his hind legs that appear superficial and he has a brand on his left shoulder that might be read as a Rocking Z hanging 4. This is a very nice horse and I could find nothing wrong with him.

Sold on 9/4/2012
#011 Endora - 12yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare - $400

This 12 year old Quarter Horse Appaloosa cross mare stands 14.2hh. She is chestnut in color, but she has a lot of small white speckles on her, especially on her hindquarters. She is a very sturdy mare and appears healthy - possibly even over weight. We were told that she was 12 years old, and although she was reluctant to show us her teeth they did appear to support that age. Her feet are in good condition and although barefoot right now we could see the holes from where shoes had been nailed on previously. She pinned her ears at us, but was actually very well behaved and picked up her feet nicely. She was ridden in the ring and said to do trails and barrels, although it was stated that she was not beginner safe.

Sold on 9/4/2012
#058 Dora - 8yr Dark Bay Quarter Horse Mare - $395

Dora is an 8 year old QH/Morgan cross. She was taped at 15'2, has a star, and is medium boned in good condition. She is a prior rescue mare who is green broke. She is current on vaccines, bathes, loads, leads well, good for the farrier, and does well with other horses. She is barefoot and hooves appear to be in good condition. She is said to have some trust issues but is said to be a very loving horse. She was easy to handle and respectful of space.

Sold on 8/17/2012
#253 Crystal - 7yr Chestnut Paint Mare - $400

This chestnut solid colored paint mare is 7 years old and around 15hh. She has a good build and is in decent shape other then her feet needing to be done. She is supposedly a maiden mare and up to date on her shots and worming. She is reported as being broke and having been a trail horse for the last four years. She led well, moved her hind quarters without hesitation, knew whoa, and stopped as soon as I stopped. I didn't have any issues with her intruding in my space. However, she is NOT very good at backing. She did back up, but was slow to respond. Not irritated or unwilling, just very slow. She picked up her feet without hesitation.

Sold on 8/17/2012
#011 Dolly - 16yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare - $400

Registered as "Digis Nu Dolly" with AQHA - Papers Available

Dolly is a good weight and appeared to move sound although she was tender on large gravel. She stands 14.3 hh. She is overdue for a trim, picks up her front feet nicely but was a bit fussy about the rears jerking them up rather than picking them up nicely. She was overall calm and easy to handle. She was originally led into the auction, but then her handler got up and rode her around bareback.

Sold on 8/16/2012
#030 Dollop -  Chestnut Mini Mare - $275

We were not able to catch any of the Minis and we do not believe they are halter broke. They seemed to stand in the 30-34" range in general and were said to be running with a stud.

Sold on 8/16/2012 to Mule Ranch
#034 Didi -  Chestnut Mini Mare - $275

Sold on 8/16/2012 to Mule Ranch
#004 Deville - 15yr Dark Bay Roan Quarter Horse Mare - $250

This mare stands between 13.3 and 14.0hh. She is supposed to be 15 years old. She is built like an old style QH and has nice movement. I do have a video of her trotting all around that I will post later. She was sometimes hard to catch but seemed to warm up pretty quickly. She was easy to handle, stands quietly, ties, picks up her feet and allows folks to mount her without qualm. She has bit marks in the sides of her mouth and does brace herself for you to mount up. She has bad feet, healing wounds to the back of her hind heels, and some sort of sore on her rear. Although she was fine with people, she was NOT fine with other horses and repeatedly went after them kicking - especially the show mares for some reason.

Sold on 8/16/2012 to Chelsea
#032 Dyna -  Black Mini Mare - $275

We were not able to catch any of the Minis and we do not believe they are halter broke. They seemed to stand in the 30-34" range in general and were said to be running with a stud.

#019 Devlin - 10yr Bay Rabicano Mustang Gelding - $300

Registered as "#02016970" with BLM - Papers Available

Devlin is a branded BLM mustang who's color I can only think to describe as bay rabicano. This guy was easy to handle and pretty friendly. He picks up his feet well but is way past due for trim. He is 14.0hh but well built and should be able to easily carry an average size rider. His code says he is 2002, out of Oregon. He is a good weight and aside from a skinned nose and an odd cut(?) in his gum, he appeared in good health. He was led through the auction, but it was said that he was green broke.

Sold on 8/15/2012 to Jennifer
#026 Demi -  Black Mini Mare - $275

Demi is the most friendly of the Minis we almost caught her on several occasions. She is also the most unique, she has a mottled dark pink muzzle and rings around her eyes. We were not able to catch any of the Minis and we do not believe they are halter broke. They seemed to stand in the 30-34" range in general and were said to be running with a stud.

Sold on 8/15/2012
#031 Daisy -  Chestnut Mini Mare - $275

We were unable to catch any of the Minis and we do not believe them to be halter broke. They seemed to stand in the 30-34" range in general. This mare appeared fatter then most of them and we were told these mares had been running with a stud.

Sold on 8/15/2012
#017 Dude - 30yr Chestnut Varnish Appaloosa Gelding - $225

Dude is a perfect old gentleman. He does anything asked of him but give him a second because it's at his speed. He was very easy to handle, very friendly but not pushy. His feet look structurally ok but are very overdue. He is very thin, he has a sway back and he will likely need to be on a soft diet due to his teeth. He is 14.3 hh. He was very mindful of where we were and even with other horses fighting around him never took a step toward us. He has a large scar on the front of his right rear leg that although is cosmetically unattractive does not seem to bother him. Dude would probably not be suitable for heavy riding due to his age, swayback and previous injury but he would make a lovely pasture pet or possible kids horse.

Sold on 8/14/2012 to Jennifer
#072 Dream - 21yr Bay Appaloosa Mare - $300

Registered as "Sheza Sassy Dream" with ApHC - Papers Unknown

This mare is an absolutely lovely lady. She is a larger mare and probably tops over 15hh (who wrote it down?) and is gorgeous. Quality just oozes from this mare and she was reported to be a Reserve World Champion with over 286 points in Halter. She is "Sheza Sassy Dream" who is by the world famous sire "Dreamfinder" and out of a "Goer" daughter... one of my absolute favorite combinations and basically Appaloosa royalty IMHO. Her papers *may* be available to a new owner, but the auction yard doesn't have them. There are also photos of her at the world show in some of the old magazines I believe. Her Reserve World Championship in Halter was in 1994. She is a dream to handle and is completely sweet, willing, mellow and wonderful. Dream leads, ties, stands patiently, offers up her feet, stacks herself like a show horse and just does whatever you want in general. She is in good condition although she has some old scars probably from hobbles. She is reported to have been a broodmare but nothing was said about if she is broke to ride or not. She was docile with the other horses, but seemed rather depressed and kept her head down in a corner. She has been saddled and had someone ride her around way back when, but it is doubtful as to how much of that will still carry through.

Sold on 8/14/2012 to Alyssa
#036 Dixie - 4yr Dark Bay Thoroughbred Mare - $275

Registered as "Symphony Belles" with Jockey Club - Papers Available

This girl is sweet and easy to handle, respectful of your space. Very quiet for a young TB. she is 15.2hh. She is in ok body condition but could use a little weight, she was not thin enough to be of immediate concern. She picked up front and rear feet well. Her feet are flat and overdue but had no obvious issues such as large cracks. She got kicked immediately upon entering the kp in her right hip, very hard. She has some cuts from the kick and was obviously sore when asked to move. I believe her to be otherwise sound. This mare was easy to work around and did not cause drama with other horses. I believe she will be middle or low in the herd. She did not fight back when kicked.

Sold on 8/14/2012 to Rolling Bay
#062 Dancer - 11yr Bay Arabian Mare - $290

Registered as "JT Alluring Lady" with AHA - Papers Available

This girl is stunning, probably the prettiest Arab I have ever seen in person. She looks and acts like a show horse and stands at 14.2hh. She is very easy to handle, polite, well mannered, and very willing. She leads, stands, ties, picks up her feet, and stacks herself up like a show horse. She is a registered mare and her papers are available. She exchanged kicks with Deville at one point and got a kick mark on her hock. She is a good weight, her feet are good. This mare is in excellent condition.

Sold on 8/14/2012 to Kim
#061 Dahlia - 14yr Black Arabian Mare - $300

Registered as "JT Jazzy Lady" with AHA - Papers Available

Dahlia is a 14 year old Arabian mare who is so dark a bay that she appeared black. I did not measure her, but I would guess her to stand around 15hh. This is an extremely classy mare that was said to be a halter show horse and a brood mare. She looks and acts like a show horse. She is very easy to handle, polite, well mannered, and very willing. She leads, stands, ties, picks up her feet, and stacks herself up like a show horse. She is a registered mare and her papers are available. Her registered name is JT Jazzy Lady and she is by RF Jaz and out of Head Lady, a daughter of The Headliner. She has Bask on both sides, but I don't know Arab bloodlines enough to tell much about her pedigree. She is in good condition and appears well cared for - including her feet.

Sold on 8/14/2012 to Kim
#648 Corrina - 1yr Bay Arabian Mare - $350

This bay Arabian mare was dropped off and came from the same farm as the other recent drop- offs. The Arabian Stallion #134 Chester is said to be her sire. She is shy and appears to be in healthy condition.

Sold on 8/13/2012 to Helen
#134 Chester - 5yr Bay Arabian Stallion - $400

Registered as with AHA - Papers Unknown

This bay Arabian stallion has been running with the two mares and is fairly protective of them. He is a registered horse, but as of now there are no papers being made available with him. Papers may become available at a later date. He appears to be in good weight but he does seem to have something going on with his right eye so that it is a bit swollen and runny. This stallion is very small, petite and typey. I would guess him to stand around 13hh. We did get a look at his teeth and a photo will be posted, but in my estimate he is about 4 years old. He is fairly friendly but is hugely distracted by the mares and they are really all he cares about right now. He was easy to halter, lead, tie. He leads, backs, turns, and yields his hind quarters. He picks up his feet easily, but then thinks about the mares again and wants his foot back. His feet don't look to me like they have ever been done... photos are provided. He appears to have his testicles descended, but photos are provided. I asked in the office and I was told that his papers had been found and that they would be available on Friday.

Sold on 8/13/2012 to Angela
#649 Casper - 2yr Gray Arabian Stallion - $400

This 2 year old Arabian colt was a drop-off from the same farm as the other recent drop-offs. The Arabian Stallion #134 Chester is said to be the sire. He was friendly, curious, picked up his feet nicely, loved his scratches, and appeared to be in healthy condition.

Sold on 8/13/2012 to Caitlin
#124 Chief - 3yr Chestnut Paint Stallion - $400

This chestnut stallion was said to be a 3 year old BS Paint. We are waiting for confirmation. He was taped at 14.1hh and is of a medium bone structure with star, stripe, snip. He is a stallion, but at a glance appeared to have both testicles descended (however we recommend interested parties double check that). He is a bit thin, has fresh cuts on his left hip and might be off on his left hind. He does have shoes on all four feet and his feet appeared to have been well maintained. He was very respectful and well mannered. He easily picked up his feet and did anything asked of him. This boy was very friendly and kept mugging people for attention.

Sold on 8/11/2012 to Michelle
#129 Cascade - 10yr Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare - $400

Registered as with OTTB - Papers Unavailable

This chestnut Thoroughbred mare was taped at 15.3hh and is of medium bone. She has a lip tattoo and a sock on her left rear leg. Her age was estimated at 10 years by the look of her teeth . She is thin, her feet are over due and it looked like there might be an old bow to her right front. She was well mannered, picked up all her feet, allowed her mouth to be looked at, and just generally behaved herself.

Sold on 8/10/2012 to Pony Up
#132 Candy - 10yr Chestnut Arabian Mare - $400

This chestnut Arabian mare was a drop off with very little information. Candy came up to greet us as soon as we arrived. She is very friendly, affectionate, calm, willing, well mannered and not spooky. I would guess her to stand about 15.1hh and if we had not been told that she was an Arab, I would have named her a Saddlebred. I looked at her teeth and I would say she is around 10 years old, but a teeth photo has been provided so that you can judge it for yourself. She was super easy to halter and handle. She leads, backs, turns, ties, and yields her hind quarters. She is very good about picking up her feet and letting you mess with them. Her feet are overdue, but do give the impression that they have been cared for previously... photos provided. She is heavy and may be pregnant since she was running with the Arab stud, but to me she looks like she has been a maiden mare prior to this... photo provided. She has wear marks on her back that at first I thought were saddle marks, but later I thought maybe blanket marks because she has some towards her tail too... photos provided. She has white in her coat and her mane/tail as well. She is sound at the walk and at the trot (I didn't observe a canter but see no reason to expect she wouldn't be sound there too), and she knows how to lounge. I stood at her side, jumped alongside her and put weight on her back; she acted like it was an every day occurrence and in fact squared up a bit for it. I tied the lead rope to either side of her halter and with my arm held over her back used the rope like reins; she responded to the pressure and cues. There was a bad fly bothering her and I smacked it, which meant that I smacked her too; she didn't even flinch, let alone spook.

#117 Crooner - 7yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

Registered as "Show Scudder" with AQHA - Papers Available

I have a copy of his papers, but they are very hard to read so I am not 100% positive that his name is indeed "Show Scudder". This 7 year old registered chestnut Quarter Horse gelding was taped at 15.2hh and was of a lighter bone structure. He has 4 white socks, star/strip/snip, and a shoe on his LF foot. He was thin, his feet need trimming and there was a bump over his left eye. This horse has a decent wound on his RH leg and scarring from past injuries. The injury appeared to be swollen and still draining. There was also some swelling on his RF cannon. This boy was very friendly and well mannered. He picked up all his feet and did whatever was asked of him, he was just a bit sluggish about it.

Sold on 8/8/2012 to Gabi
#131 Coco -  Liver Chestnut Arabian Mare - $400

This very pretty liver chestnut Arabian mare is a drop off with very little information provided. She is said to be in foal and has been running with #134. She has several large sarcoids or possibly tumors on her. I was told by an employee that this mare was halter broke and that she personally saw them lead her in from the horse trailer... and she does have halter marks on her face. However, this mare would not let us catch her, would not let us touch her... and in fact seemed to prefer that we not even look at her. She often used the other mare "Candy" as a living shield. That being said, it is my opinion that her behavior was more in the vein of "avoidance" rather then "fear" or "ignorance". She does move sound at the walk and the trot. Her feet are bad and look like they have not been cared for in a very long time. She is definitely up to weight, in fact she looks fat... she also looks like she may be in foal. Her udders are very swollen, but without being able to get a close look I couldn't tell if it was milk, more underskin tumors, or something else... either way it looks like she has had foals before in the past. I was not able to measure her, but I would guess her to be around 15.2hh.

#114 Chauncey - 7yr Chestnut Arabian Gelding - $400

Registered as "Klassick CH" with AHA - Papers Available

This 7 year old registered chestnut Arabian gelding was taped at 14.2hh and of medium bone structure. He is a chestnut with flaxen mane and has two socks and a star, stripe, snip. It was said that this horse was Sweepstakes nominated and has been ridden 3 times, but he was not ridden at the auction. He appears to be overall in a healthy condition without noticeable lameness issues, but his feet are over due (he might be a little tender), he appeared to have a possible sway back and a swollen sheath. He was friendly, curious, well mannered and he picked up all his feet.

Sold on 8/8/2012 to Kimberlee
#133 Cali -  Chestnut Pony Mare - $300

This chestnut small pony mare was a drop off and has no information with her. She looks to me to be more like a Shetland then a Mini, but in any case she is a small pony. She is over weight and has some odd scar marks around the underside of her neck. Her feet appear to be over due, but not terrible. She has been guessed to be between 8-10hh but no one has been able to get a good measurement as of yet.

Sold on 8/8/2012 to Charlene
#122 Cinder - 10yr Chestnut Arabian Mare - $400

This 10 year old chestnut mare was said to be an Arabian, but she looks like a crossbreed to me. She was taped at 14.2hh and was of a medium bone structure. She had some roaning in her coat, 4 white socks, and a star, stripe, snip. She appears to be in a healthy condition, but her feet do need trimming. Her left cannon was swollen on the side, but she moved sound on it and did not appear bothered in the least. She was extremely well mannered and easily picked up all her feet and did anything asked of her. She was very calm in the auction ring, but was said to have always been a broodmare and not broke to ride.

This 18 year old chestnut registered AQHA mare was taped at 14.2hh and was of medium bone. She has shoes on all feet, has 3 socks and a star, stripe, snip. She appears to be in generally healthy condition and her feet appear to be well maintained. She picked up all her feet and did not have any visible lameness issues. She does have some old scars on her legs and has a hoof crack on her right rear. She handled well, and had what might have been old saddle marks on her back.

This 7 year old liver chestnut registered Arabian mare AHR*625592 was taped at 14.3hh, has a small star, and was of medium bone. She is barefoot and hooves appear to have been maintained and are in good condition. She appears to be in overall generally healthy condition. She picked up all her feet and did not have any visible lameness issues. She handled very well, was respectful of space, and loved the attention she was getting. She was led through the ring and is said not to be broke. The previous owner note said she clips, bridles, lunges, bathes, and trims.

#107 Blossom - 3yr Chestnut / White Paint Mare - $400

This chestnut and white filly was a drop off so not much is known. It is said that she is registered, however there are no papers currently available for her so she is selling as grade. This filly is young. She was said to be 3 years old and looking at her teeth, and that is probably fairly accurate. She currently stands 14hh, but she may have a bit more to grow. She is extremely friendly (although slightly more timid then the other filly), easy to handle and decently well mannered. She led, tied, backed, and moved over when asked. She has some marks that appear old superficial barb wire scars, marks all over her from being beat up on by other horses, and open cuts above her hooves on her front feet. Her feet are pretty bad looking, and she would not pick them up but that could have been because when I tried to pick up her foot my hand was right on her wounds.

Sold on 7/24/2012 to Kylie
#559 Birdie - 23yr Bay QH Appendix Mare - $250

This mare was a drop off with no information given. Birdie appears to be of an Appendix QH type build, but stands roughly 14.2hh and no one has gotten a look at her teeth yet although she appears older. She seems to be very sweet, friendly and curious. She was a little apprehensive of the camera at first, but was fine once she she was able to check it over. She allowed me to touch her head, ears and down her back. She is definitely in need of groceries and hoof care. She has a very large bump on her right knee and willing picked up her left front hoof which was the only one that was asked of her. Update: her hooves have been trimmed and she is walking much more comfortably now.

#109 Bell - 19yr Palomino / White Paint Mare - $400

Registered as "Accentuous" with APHA - Papers Available

This palomino and white paint mare was a drop off and so limited information is known. She is said to be pregnant and to have been running with a registered Haflinger stallion since February. This mare stands at about 15hh. She is not in good condition. This mare's feet are terrible, she has a crippled front left knee, she is skinny, has old scars reminiscent of barb wire, and is obviously in pain. Although this mare is in very bad condition now, it is obvious that at one time she was a quality mare. She is very polite, gentle and tried hard to do what we were asking of her even though offering me her foot nearly made her lose her balance. After posting this mare a past person has come forwarded and identified her and has offered on the forum to forward a copy of her papers to a new owner.

#106 Bliss - 3yr Palomino Paint Mare - $400

This solid palomino filly was a drop off so not much is known. It is said that she is registered, however there are no papers currently available for her so she is selling as grade. This filly is young. She was said to be 3 years old and looking at her teeth, and that is probably fairly accurate. She currently stands 14.2hh, but she may have a bit more to grow. She is extremely friendly, easy to handle and decently well mannered. She led, tied, backed, moved over and picked up her feet when asked. She has some marks that appear old superficial barb wire scars. Her feet are definitely over due and need some work, but do not appear to be terrible. She is an extremely nice looking filly that the photos just don't do justice to.

Sold on 7/22/2012
#558 Boyd - 25yr Chestnut Thoroughbred Gelding - $350

This chestnut gelding was a drop off with no information given. This chestnut gelding stands about 15.3hh and appears to be of Thoroughbred type but does not have a lip tattoo. From what we have seen of his teeth, we would guess his age to be around 25 years old. This gelding does appear to be noticeably lame when he walks and especially when he does any tight turns. His front right knee is large and swollen (doesn't feel squishy or hard like bone, sort of feels muscular/hard/tissue). He will put weight on all 4 and doesn't seem to be favoring any particular leg. He has some major scarring (as you can see from the photos) and has had at least a few injuries. All 4 feet have mild-moderate horizontal ridges/waves near the coronet. His hooves are very dry and need trimming. His pasterns, especially on the hind are very raw and maybe have some fungus/skin issues. Despite his condition, Boyd is still very sweet. He allowed handling all over his body and seemed content to just stand there and be petted. He lifted all four feet, was very good for haltering, backed on request and followed along on a loose lead.

Sold on 7/21/2012 to Dana
#150 Aphrodite - 20yr Gray Arabian Mare - $225

This approx. 20yr gray Arabian Mare rode well in the ring bareback with just a halter. After the auction she was scared but did everything that was asked of her and wanted to please. Even though she was freaked out, she stayed focused on her handler and was respectful of space. She is larger at about 15hh and is in good shape, except her hooves are overdue for a trim. She worked herself up into a little nervous tizzy with all the excitement and we observed some faint roaring.

#110 Angel - 15yr Gray Paint Mare - $385

Registered as "Tuff Rose Zee" with APHA - Papers Available

Angel is a 15 year old gray registered Paint Horse. There is an application for lost papers available. She is Tuff Rose Zee WA foaled 5/21/97, Reg# 469,015. She is a very pretty, good solid mare, who rode well, picked up her feet nicely, and was relatively easy to work with although nervous about the surrounding commotion. She appears to be in overall good condition, however she has a small wound above her front left hoof and has some odd marring to her face. It appears that the fur and some skin has been scraped off her face in a couple spots... please see the photos.

#177 Asha - 15yr Gray Arabian Mare - $225

This mare was led through with her buddy #178. No notes were read on these two. She was evaluated after her buddy was loaded on a slaughter truck so she was scared. She did everything that was asked of her but was very distracted. She knows what you want and responds to it appropriately. Asha stands about 15.1-15.2hh. She is skinny and has wounds on her head where the halter was.

#107 Ares - 12yr Chestnut Morgan Gelding - $300

This 12 year old liver chestnut Morgan Gelding was ridden through and did very well in the ring. He was mostly calm, said to have done trails, and also said to be 100% sound and gaited. He is about 15hh and is a bit underweight. He did actually bite and threatened to kick post auction so no further assessment was done. He did lighten up after that with a male handler and was able to be handled without any visible aggression. He is not a beginner horse but appears to be a nice mount for someone who wants to put a little time into him.

Sold on 7/12/2012 to Harmony New Beginnings
#113 Addie - 2yr Bay  Mare - $300

This super cute bay filly was said to be 2yr going on 3 years old and is of stock horse type. She is halter broke and was led through the ring. She was scared but seemed willing and eager to please. Her feet were not horribly long, but are due for a trim.

Sold on 7/12/2012
#180 Ariana - 5yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare - $250

This mare really impressed me and in my opinion a super project horse. She is a 5 year old QH cross who was described as "range bred". She was led through the ring tacked up but had never been ridden. A sale helper got on her in the ring and there was nothing, no issue, as she was very calm as he jumped on her back. He even stood on her back and said she's now started. She is the perfect blank slate to go in any direction. She really doesn't know much of anything, but she is smart and was very quick to take correction and learn new things. She stands about 15.1hh and is in overall pretty good shape although she has what appears to be some superficial scraping on her right hind leg.

Sold on 7/11/2012 to Mechelle
#119 Apple - 17yr Liver Chestnut Morgan Gelding - $225

Registered as "Matata" with AMHA - Papers Available

I can't say enough good things about this 17 year old liver chestnut Morgan gelding. This guy does it all. He was ridden through and did very well in the ring, is said to do trails, jumps, and is cart trained (his tail is cut short because of the carting). Apple is extremely sweet, well mannered, easy to handle, and seems to be a horse anyone could have a lot of fun with. This boy's kind demeanor and respectful attitude have made him my absolute favorite of this group of horses. His feet aren't the best, he has been beat on by other horses, but overall is in very good condition. He is smaller with a refined bone structure and stands about 14hh.

Sold on 7/11/2012 to Hiedi
#502 - 10yr Chestnut  Mare - $400

This mare appeared to me to be about 10 years old and was not in good condition. She stands around 15hh, is in good weight, and came with the verbal history of being a lesson horse. This mare acts like she hurts and doesn't want to move. Her feet are a mess, her front left knee is swollen, she has old injuries on her neck and her body temperature is low.

Sold on 7/10/2012 to DoubleKCorral
#504 - 17yr Chestnut Paint Mare - $400

This chestnut mare was said to be a 17 year old breeding stock paint. She stands about 15.1hh and is in pretty good condition except that she needs a bit more weight. She was calm, friendly, easy to handle and readily picks up all four feet. It was said that she had been for gaming.

#769 -  Chestnut  Mare - $400

These two mares were drop offs as their owner was moving out of state, but no information was provided. This chestnut mare would not let anyone look at her teeth, but she was definitely appeared to be considerably older then the other mare. She is at decent weight, her feet are bad but not as bad as the other mare, however she has some rather wonky looking knees. She doesn't seem to have any heat in her joints and she didn't move as though she was in pain even at a trot. She stands around 15+hh and a thicker build. She wasn't hard to handle, picked up her feet without any hesitation and didn't seem bothered by jumping beside her or weight across her back.

Sold on 7/7/2012 to Gina
#770 -  Dark Bay  Mare - $400

These two mares were drop offs as their owner was moving out of state, but no information was provided. This dark mare is the yo unger of the two, but we don't know her age. She stands around 14.2hh and has a sturdier built but a dainty head. She is definitely up to weight, but her feet are a big mess. Although her front hooves are awful to look at, they didn't seem to cause her any problems walking. However, she didn't move very well on the near rear hoof, which did make her limp. She does have baggy teats, so it is possible that she has been a brood mare. She was the friendlier of the two and was easy to handle.

Sold on 7/7/2012 to Gina
#508 - 12yr Bay  Gelding - $400

This bay gelding appears to me to be around 12 years old. He stands about 15.3hh and is in pretty good condition. He is a beautiful animal, is pretty and sizable. He seemed friendly, but was not all that well mannered although he did pick up his feet. He is reported as a broke trail horse, however it was said that he was brought to the auction because he flipped over on his rider and injured her.

Sold on 7/5/2012 to Charlene
#525 - 19yr Palomino Quarter Horse Mare - $400

Registered as "Northwind Gold" with AQHA - Papers Available

This palomino mare is 19 years old and is registered with the AQHA. I do not know yet if her papers come with her, but copies of them were posted to her stall at the auction. She stands about 14.3hh and is a pretty mare. Unfortunately she has bad feet (possibly twisted on FR?) and is obviously not currently sound. She does pick up her feet nicely and was easy to handle... She acts like she is extremely grouchy, however she did not follow through with any of her threats while I was there. In fact, she picked up her feet nicely, allowed herself to be examined, and was easy to handle - she just made terrible faces at us the whole time. She was ridden in the auction ring and was calm.

Sold on 7/5/2012 to Angela
#500 -  Bay Arabian Mare - $400

This bay Arabian mare was a drop off with only the verbal history that she had been bred back. She stands about 14.2hh and appears to be in decent weight. She is friendly, easy to handle, picks up her feet, stands for the farrier and appears to just be an over-all good girl. She does, however, have some serious problems going on with her feet. She appears to be currently foundered in at least one of her feet. She was extremely far past when she should last be trimmed and seems to be in pain. She has now been trimmed and the barefoot trimmer who says that: "I padded # 500 in the fronts to make her more comfortable. It helped a bit, but she is still rather sore - she most likely foundered and is still rather laminitic, but at least now her hoof form is better balanced and won't cause insult to injury when she moves. The tall walls already allowed her internal structures to sink through the hoof capsule - the front half of her sole is quite prominent because of this, especially on the higher heeled right front."

Sold on 7/3/2012 to Ute
#540 - 6yr Dark Bay Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

Registered as "Scooby" with AQHA - Papers Available

This dark bay gelding is reported to be 6 years old. They said that he was green: that he had lots of ground work, but only one ride. He stands about 15.2hh and was pretty friendly. He is in good weight, his feet are ok, has shoes on all 4 feet, has scars on his hocks and is missing a front tooth. He picked up his feet easily, mugged folks for attention and wanted to come with us when we were moving on to the next horse.

Sold on 7/3/2012 to Juliane
#531 - 12yr Bay Quarter Horse Gelding - $300

This 12 year old bay Quarter Horse gelding was not picked up after the auction and so is now in the kill pen. He was said to be a trail string horse with tons of riding experience, but he was not ridden in the ring. He is very skinny and has bad feet.

Sold on 7/3/2012
#523 - 4yr Cremello  Mare - $400

This cremello mare was reported as 4 years old and that looks to be right. She stands about 14.3hh and (to me) looked like she might have some filling out left to do. She is friendly, calm, sweet, easy to handle, and picks up all four feet but is hesitant about it. She is in decent weight, her feet are overdue but not really bad, and her nose is sun burnt. She is reported to have been started under saddle.

Sold on 7/2/2012 to Megan
#530 - 10yr Chestnut Morgan Gelding - $375

This 10 year old chestnut Morgan gelding has been a trail string horse. He was nicely behaved and is said to have a ton of training in him. This boy is a bit underweight, but his big problem is his feet. His feet are very long and uncared for - in fact one of the hooves is cloven. The split in the hoof, while wide, did not seem to go too far up the hoof wall.

Sold on 7/2/2012 to Jenniver
#337 - 12yr Chestnut  Mare - $400

This chestnut mare is a drop off who came with a little history. She is said to be 12 years old and to have been a trail horse. She stands about 15.2hh and is in good weight but her feet are bad. She has old saddle marks on her back. This gal had a grumpy face just about the whole time; however, she never acted on it once. She was easy enough to catch, leads great, picks up her feet, backs well, and moves her front and hind end when asked. She was fine with me leaning weight on her back and jumping at her side. She loved neck and back scratches, and dropped the face whenever she was getting scratches, and even gave me a happy face after for a moment while she begged for more.

Sold on 6/24/2012
#767 -  Chestnut  Gelding - $300

This chestnut gelding is a drop off with no history. His age is an unknown as he was very nervous and did not allow himself to be caught. He moves and is built like a gaited horse and there have been guesses that he may be a Fox Trotter. He stands approximately 14.2hh and appears to be sound. He is wearing a full set of shoes. When he was eventually caught he proved that he does know basic handling skills, but is very pushy and reactive.

#764 - 2yr Bay POA Mare - $400

Registered as "CR Golden Brown Cookie" with POAC - Papers Available

This finely built and friendly registered POA filly stands about 13hh. She was foaled 5/13/201 and is by CR Perfect Intention out of CR McCues Tough Cookie. From an old ad for her we know that her barn name is "Cookie" and that she supposedly loads, bathes, is UTD on shots/feet/worming, is good for the farrier and has been saddled and ridden briefly. She wanted to be really sweet and wanted love and attention, but was a little nervous at the same time. She followed us around the whole time, and would gently touch us with her nose or just stand real close. She enjoyed the attention once she got past the inital fear, and is a total sweetheart. She was hard to halter, but once the halter was on she was good. She is headshy, mainly around her nose, but once your hand is up there she is good about dropping her head and letting you pet it. She doesn't appear to have had a lot of handling, she picks up her feet great but didn't seem to know how to back or move her hindquarters around at all.

Sold on 6/14/2012
#763 - 23yr Black / White Paint Gelding - $400

This black and white pinto gelding was a drop off from another auction. He is reported to be a 23 year old trail horse and was said to sometimes react when being cinched up. He stands about 15.2hh and is in decent shape. He is flashy, sweet and gentle. He picks up his feet and is easy to handle.

#765 - 4yr Chestnut POA  - $400

Registered as "CR Peppy Sugar Belle" with POAC - Papers Available

This blanketed chestnut POA mare stands 14hh and was foaled 5/26/2008. Her registered name is CR Peppy Sugar Belle and she is by Incognito out of CR Peppy Belle McCue. She is very flashy, nice, sweet and has an easy going disposition. She has been saddled, but we don't know about further training. She has good ground manners and picks up her feet easily. She does show signs of an old abscess and her feet need to be done.

#768 -  Chestnut  Mare - $250

This chestnut mare was a drop off. She is very thin and in poor condition. She stands around 15.2hh and appears to be of Thoroughbred type. She is branded on her shoulder with a "CM". This mare hasn't been very friendly. She generally keeps herself out of reach but if you get close she threatens and appears to be willing to back up the threats.

Sold on 6/13/2012 to Harmony New Beginnings
#766 - 30yr Chestnut Appaloosa Mare - $300

This rather old Appaloosa mare was a drop off. She is in poor condition, appears to have uveitis, a couple corneal ulcers, some clouding and probably has cataracts as well. She appeared to be sound, although did have a crack in a front hoof, and was swaybacked. She did not appear to have any difficulty chewing and ate hay and carrots with ease. She is not keen on putting up with garbage from the youngins and not afraid to make faces to keep them in line. Her feet need trimming but other than one major split that does not appear to go very high they look ok. She walked fine and did not look stiff. She does seem to be rather grumpy

#429 - 4yr Bay / White Pinto Stallion - $400

This pretty bay and white stallion appears to be 4 years old. He is a little thin, but otherwise appears fine and he has shoes on. He is 14.2hh and did pick up his feet but reluctantly. He was a bit studdy out back but settled a lot once he was not stalled next to a mare. He was pretty polite through the fence but pushy when you were in with him.

Sold on 6/8/2012
#410 -  Bay / White Pinto Mare - $250

This white and bay pinto filly came with no information. She is young, almost certainly under a year, but we have no closer age on her. She came in with a slightly larger pinto filly. She has had no handling and was wearing a halter for the first time at the sale yard. She seems wary, but was overall handling things well and appeared relatively calm.

#419 - 13yr Gray Arabian Mare - $400

Registered as "Mattenai" with AHA - Papers Unknown

This 13 year old gray Arabian mare stands about 14.2hh and appears to be in decent condition with good feet. She is a registered mare with the AHA named Mattenai, but I don't know if her papers come with her or not. She tended to act snarky to folks outside of her pen, but once you actually had yours hands on her she sweetened right up. She has been a broodmare the last few years, but is reported to be broke to ride.

#338 - 4yr Chestnut Thoroughbred Mare - $400

This young chestnut Thoroughbred mare is by "Dubba Check" and out of "Royal Laughter", but she herself is not registered. She stands about 15hh and is in pretty good condition other then needing some more weight. She is a very nicely built mare. She was a drop off who came with limited information, but the folks did say that she was broke to ride. She was probably at least started under saddle, tolerated weight for an extended amount of time, lunged, and did very well with a halter and lead.

Sold on 6/7/2012 to Donna
#431 - 2yr Chestnut / White Pinto Mare - $350

This 5 year old bay OTTB Thoroughbred appears to be "Pretty Picture". She stands over 15hh and is in good condition with good feet. She is a nicely built and good looking mare. This mare was brought in with another horse and while they were together she was very well mannered and friendly, but she became distressed when the other mare was taken away. She was observed having good movement and the rumor is that she was a dressage prospect.

#555 - 7yr Bay  Gelding - $300

There was absolutely no information provided for this horse, so everything here is our best guess. This horse was dropped off after the sale and as of when I left, he did not have a number yet. This horse is a bay gelding standing about 14.3hh. He was extremely scared and acting high strung, so we could not get a good read on his age, but from what we saw he might be around 7 years old. He was not acting politely, but he did reluctantly pick up his feet.

#318 - 26yr Chestnut Arabian Mare - $375

#326 - 5yr Bay Quarter Horse Stallion - $350

This bay stallion was said to be 5 years old and his teeth appear to support that from what we could see. He is skinny, scruffy and appears to be a cryptorchid. He also appeared like he might be off in his right hind. He stood 15hh and his feet were over due but didn't look bad. His fur is patchy, but I didn't see an obvious reason why so it might be just odd shedding. He is pretty calm and will pick up his feet easily.

Sold on 5/14/2012 to Mary
#557 -  Chestnut Arabian Stallion - $250

This stallion is reportedly broke to ride however there are no guarantees. He is older but I do not have an age. This guy is a sweetheart! Quiet, gentle, not at all spooky and just a total love bug. He dropped his nose for the halter, lead quietly, stopped when I asked, but his backing is a bit sticky. He was not wanting to pick up his feet but he did eventually, although he didn't hold it for long. He was not mean about it, just stood there and slept while I was asking. He has marks on his face that looks like he had a halter on too long, and his left rear fetlock looks a little funny to me. It was hard to tell how he was walking as the ground was lumpy, but he seemed to move ok. He is a great boy! I would guess around 14.2, although I did not have a height tape with me. I also want to add that there were two mares penned right next to him, and he never once called for them or acted studly at all, even when one came over to the fence for a scratch. He is a very well mannered boy.

Sold on 5/14/2012
#302 - 8yr Bay  Gelding - $350

This bay gelding was said to be 8 years old, but his teeth made him look like he could have been a little younger. He was of a QH type and stood 14hh. He is in good condition and has decent feet. He is friendly and curious and will pick up his feet although he is a bit reluctant. He was said to have been ridden all over and was in fact ridden in the ring, but he did terribly there.

Sold on 5/12/2012
#327 - 25yr Black Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

There was absolutely no information provided for this horse, so everything here is our best guess. This black gelding appears to be an older horse, possibly around 25 years old. He is scruffy, a little thin, his feet are way over due, he badly needs a sheath cleaning and he has something on the inside of his ears. He stands 15hh, appears sound, friendly, well mannered and easily picks up his feet.

Sold on 5/12/2012
#332 - 8yr Bay Quarter Horse Mare - $400

This bay mare was said to be an 8 year old Quarab. She stands 15.1hh but is of a very upright build so appears taller. She is in good weight/condition/feet. She is friendly, calm, picked up her feet and was easy for us to handle however it was said that she is pushy on the ground. She was ridden in the auction and rode okay, but was said to be better for an experienced rider. She was said to be a trail horse.

Sold on 5/11/2012
#556 - 4yr Black Arabian Stallion - $250

This drop off horse came with the verbal history of being broke to ride however there are no guarantees. This boy was very sweet and seemed easy to handle - especially for a stallion. Registered as "What A Wonder" with Jockey Club - Papers Unavailable

This mare was a drop off before the auction. She is a chestnut OTTB mare with a tattoo. She is very skinny, perhaps with some rain rot, her feet are very bad and she is over at the knees. She appeared to be sore, but came up to us and was very friendly. She was calm, sweet, easy to handle and eagerly gave us her feet. She has a blaze and three white socks and her tattoo appears to read B27234. If that is the right tattoo number then she is "What a Wonder". "What A Wonder" is a 1998 Washington bred mare who raced very poorly at Emerald Downs. She raced once a year in 2000, 2001 and 2002 and never placed at all. Her sire would be "Wanpum" and dam "Splash of Light".

This chestnut and white pinto mare was said to be an Icelandic horse and does appear to fit the type. She stands 13hh and has substantial bone and build. No age was given for her, but she appears to be around 10 years old. The said that she was beginner safe and she certainly seems to be calm and well mannered, but she was not ridden through the sale. #574 - 7yr Bay  Stallion - $350

This bay stallion was run through loose during the auction and after the auction he was too nervous to let us approach him, so we don't have much information that we can share. He appeared to be around 14.3hh and is in decent condition although his feet are due. Since we couldn't handle him, we were unable to examine his teeth... however in the quick glimpses we were able to get, we thought that he might be in the 6-8 year range - but that should be taken with a grain of salt. He appears to be clean legged, with a good build and a cute head.

This bay mare appears to be around 5 years old and stands 14.1hh. She was shy but did allow herself to be handled and her feet to be picked up. She is scruffy and her feet are overdue but the biggest issue is an injury to her right hind canon that might be a wire cut.

Sold on 4/10/2012 to Chelsee
#554 - 6yr Chestnut Quarter Pony Mare - $400

This 6 year old Chestnut mare stands about 14.1hh and is supposedly a Quarter Pony. This mare is very calm, rode well in the ring and was said to be a kids pony. #090 - 15yr Dark Bay Mule Mare - $350

This approximately 14.2hh molly mule was a drop off so there is no known history. She appears to be in her mid teens, but she does appear to be stiff - especially in her front. She is easy to catch and halter, has great ground manners (lead, back, yield, feet, etc) and doesn't mind weight over her back. She is quiet, calm, gentle, willing and doesn't even mind having her ears messed with.

Sold on 4/5/2012 to Kasey
#270 - 7yr Chestnut  Gelding - $400

This chestnut gelding was a drop off with no history. He is approximately 14.3hh and is probably 7 years old. He appears to be sound and in decent shape, but he may have lice. He halters, backs, yields, picks up his feet, and allows weight on his back. He does appear to be shy and worried about what someone might do, but warmed up and got sweeter as time went on.

#569 - 20yr Leopard Appaloosa Mare - $400

Registered as "Romans Ebony Eyes" with ApHC - Papers Available

This 20 year old Appaloosa mare is not a true leopard, but her coloring is similar to one. She stands about 15hh and is in good condition, but her feet appear to be kind of flat and she may be a little sore. This is a very nice mare. She has been a kids camp horse, is broke to ride, clips, bathes and is current on vaccinations. She is very calm, super friendly, well mannered and easy to work with. She is registered as "Romans Ebony Eyes" and is by "Ebony and Ivory" out of "Brite Eyes Drifter".

Sold on 4/5/2012 to Linze
#575 -  Bay / White Donkey Gelding - $350

This spotted donkey john came in with the Peruvian gelding, but he was run through the auction loose so there is no history on him. He is very wary of strangers but tends to warm up quickly and loves to have his face scratched. He is large for his type and is likely close to 14hh. He is underweight but appears to have a good build and as he is not a young animal, there is a chance that he has been trained for something.

Sold on 4/5/2012 to Deb
#576 -  Chestnut Peruvian Paso Gelding - $400

This chestnut gelding was run loose through the auction so not much is known about him. He does appear to be of a Peruvian Paso type and was observed to be gaited. He was nervous but did not appear to be wild or unhandled. He is a medium sized horse probably measuring around 15hh.

Sold on 4/4/2012 to Deb

#181 - 19yr Bay Thoroughbred Mare - $400

This sturdy boy appears to be an old style foundation Quarter Horse. He looks to be in his 20's and stands about 15hh. He is friendly and calm, in okay condition with good feet. He will allow you to pick up his feet, but he does not like it.

Sold on 3/10/2012
#703 - 5yr Chestnut  Gelding - $350

This 5 year old chestnut gelding is perhaps a QH/TB cross. He stands 15-15.1hh and is said to clip, load, trailer and have 10 rides on him. He is friendly, very talkative, and picks up his feet. He is a little thin, but his feet look good.

Sold on 3/10/2012 to Tammy
#715 - 15yr Bay Thoroughbred Mare - $400

I was told that this bay mare was a teenage OT Thoroughbred, however I did not see a tattoo, so I am not so sure. She stands about 15.1hh, is a little thin and needs her feet done, but is overall fine. She is very polite with her feet and literally lifted them up for you in anticipation of you asking for them. She was very sweet, very well mannered and pretty. She was calm and rode well in the ring right up until the end where she thought about rearing, but quickly came back under control and continued her demo.

Sold on 3/10/2012 to horseranch2010
#704 - 4yr Bay Pony Mare - $350

This bay mare is a large pony measuring 14.1hh and she may not be done growing. She was stated to be 4 this spring, so I have listed her as 4 years old even though she is 3 until next month. She is said to load, clip, bathe, and carry a saddle. She is scruffy but is in decent condition and feet. She is friendly, well mannered and picks up her feet very nicely.

Sold on 3/10/2012 to Tammy
#727 - 5yr Chestnut  Mare - $400

This 5 year old chestnut mare is a grade and stands about 14.3hh. She is calm, sweet, very well mannered. She is a little thin and has some cracks in her feet, but overall her condition appears good and her fur feels like silk. She easily picks up her feet, and her bridle path and muzzle have been clipped. The owner said that she has only had 11 rides on her, but she rode pretty darn well and was even side passing.

Sold on 3/9/2012 to alm0526
#719 - 18yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Gelding - $400

Registered as "Dusters Tiger" with AQHA - Papers Unknown

He is in pretty good condition and picked up his feet, but he is head shy and has scars on his left ear. He was said to strongly prefer women and although he is well broke trails/penning/sorting/etc horse, it was said that he would buck you off if you aggravated him.

Sold on 3/8/2012 to Chrystal
#178 -  Chestnut  Mare - $300

This smaller mare stands about 13hh and was a drop off, so we know very little about her. She is very skittish around humans and she has not allowed anyone to assess her as of yet.

#716 - 7yr Bay Rabicano Arabian Mare - $400

This 14.1hh Arabian mare appears to be some color like a bay rabicano. She is pretty, well mannered, calm, and apparently a show horse in halter but there are no papers or name on her. She is in good condition, and has good feet. She is well mannered and easily picks up her feet.

Sold on 3/7/2012
#726 - 8yr Chestnut Paint Gelding - $400

This is a very cute 8 year old chestnut BS Paint gelding. He is very pretty and has a cute face. He was nervous in the ring but rode pretty well. He stands 14.1hh and has front shoes on. He is in good condition and willingly picks up his feet for you. He does tend to not respect your space and probably needs a tune up on manners, but he seemed kind and willing to go along with what you were trying to tell him.

Sold on 3/7/2012
#729 - 8yr Bay Thoroughbred Gelding - $400

Registered as "Our John Candy" with Jockey Club - Papers Unknown

This 8 year old bay OTTB gelding stands about 16.1hh. He was said to have a bowed tendon but to be sound now. He is a little thin, and his feet are due (shoes on front) but otherwise appears fine. Sold on 3/7/2012 to Emerald City TB
#712 - 18yr Leopard Appaloosa Gelding - $400

This boy was said to be in his late teens but he may be a little older. He is an extremely friendly leopard appy gelding and seems to be a nice riding horse despite the fact that his eyes are bad. His right eye is completely blind and his left eye doesn't seem to see much. He is in pretty good condition other then his eyes but his feet need to be done. He was very calm in the ring and rode very nicely.

Sold on 3/6/2012 to Dana
#718 - 18yr Chestnut Arabian Mare - $400

Registered as with - Papers Unavailable

This 18 year old chestnut Arabian mare does not come with her papers or her name. She is scruffy but is in good condition and feet. She is calm, friendly, curious, well mannered and very lady like with her feet. She did have a bit of an issue being tied at one point, but given her otherwise perfect behavior, that may well be caused by the chaos of her current circumstances rather then a reflection of her training.

Sold on 3/6/2012 to Juliane
#725 - 10yr Chestnut  Mare - $400

This chestnut mare is probably around 10 years old, but that is a guess based on a very brief glimpse of her teeth - she does not like her mouth messed with at all. She is about 15.2hh, in decent condition and of a fairly sturdy build. She was calm, polite, and rode well in the auction ring. This mare may be pregnant.

Sold on 3/5/2012 to Crystal
#179 - 7yr Bay  Mare - $300

This smaller bay mare stands around 13-13.2hh and was a drop off and so we have very little information on her. She was easy to approach, reluctant to halter, but once haltered she was friendly and quiet. She led nicely, backed, and moved her front and back end away when asked. She picked up her feet just fine and allowed her mouth to be examined. She is very thin and has a few older wounds. She was nervous when jumped beside or when weight was leaned over her back, and when a rope was thrown around her.

Sold on 3/4/2012 to Pony Up
#180 - 20yr Bay Paint Mare - $400

This girl was easy to catch, over all quiet, but very herd bound to the others and kept trying to pull that way. She led nicely, backed, and moved both ends over when asked. Her tail is braided and her muzzle has been clipped somewhat recently. Her weight is decent, and she was fine with me jumping at her side and leaning weight over. She picked up her feet great and enjoyed the attention. My guess on her height is she is about 14.2hh.

Sold on 3/1/2012 to Kristina
#996 - 27yr Chestnut Draft Mare - $400

This big mare was a drop off and so we have no history on her. She is a larger horse (15.2-15.3hh but heavy built), older (I would guess late 20's) and likely a draft cross. She is probably broke to ride, appears sound, and might be gaited. She picks up her feet, doesn't mind you acting like you are going to mount up into a saddle, and moves out with a flowing gait. She does appear to have cushings and has a large swelling or edema on the underside of her abdomen that doesn't seem to bother her.

Sold on 2/17/2012 to Jessica
#994 - 16yr Chestnut Quarter Horse Mare - $400

Registered as "Payday Baron" with AQHA - Papers Available

This chestnut mare was a drop off and so we have limited information on her. She is a registered QH, is 16 years old according to her papers (Sedona has a copy), and is pretty! She was easy enough to catch, friendly, quiet, and very responsive. She picked up her feet, backed, moved her hindquarters and shoulder when asked, and was fine with me leaning a little weight over. She does have something going on, it looks like with her breathing. Its sort of like she's hiccuping, or maybe can't quite catch a full breath. She is approximately 14.3hh and has shoes on all four feet so she may well be broke to ride.

Sold on 2/17/2012 to Shannon
#808 - 10yr Dark Bay Paint Mare - $400

Registered as "Watchit Klassy Deva" with APHA - Papers Unknown

This 10 year old dark bay or black Paint mare is apparently registered and I believe that she comes with her papers. She stands about 16.1hh and has shoes on all four feet. Her feet are pretty bad and she is thin, but she was calm in the ring and rode well. Out back she wanted attention and would pick up her front feet but tried to kick when asked for her back feet.

Sold on 2/13/2012 to Danielle
#807 - 11yr Bay Paint Mare - $400

Registered as "Lady Jay Imprint" with APHA - Papers Available

This 11 year old Bay Paint mare was said to be registered, but I do not know the status of her papers. She was very scared in the ring and reported to have only ever been a brood mare. Out back she was very skittish and wouldn't let us handle her. She appeared to be around 15.2hh and in decent condition.

Sold on 2/12/2012 to Debbie
#805 - 2yr Chestnut / White Paint Stallion - $400

Registered as with APHA - Papers Unknown

This horse was purchased during the auction but his buyer backed out and now he is in the kill pen. This boy is a two year old cryptorchid colt. He is in fine condition, but he did seem to me to move slightly off in the hind end during the auction. He was very calm, friendly and well mannered. He definitely has had good ground work done on him. He is triple registered APHA, AQHA, PTHA and it sounds like his papers do come with him.

Sold on 2/12/2012 to Kimberly
#801 - 4yr Black / White Paint Gelding - $400

This black and white pinto gelding is reported to be 4 years old and purebred Paint horse, although I do not know if papers are available. He stands approximately 15.2hh and although his feet are due, he appears to be in okay condition. He was calm in the ring and handled pretty good in the back area too. He picks up his feet and has clean appearing legs. He was reported to have been started under saddle.

Sold on 2/11/2012 to Michelle
#816 - 10yr Dark Bay Quarter Horse Gelding - $350

This 10 year old dark bay gelding is a grade Quarter Horse. He stands about 15.2hh, his feet are overdue but appear in decent shape, and he is slightly thin. He was well mannered and picked up all his feet nicely out back. In the ring he was calm and rode well.

This 10 year old solid bay Paint mare was said to be registered although I do not know if papers are available. She is a bigger mare standing in at about 16.2hh. Her feet are due but she appears to be in fine condition. She was nervous in the ring and reported to have only ever been a brood mare, but she was friendly and picked up her feet out back.

#819 - 9yr Bay Thoroughbred Mare - $400

Registered as "Mehtala" with Jockey Club - Papers Unavailable

This 9 year old bay mare is a tattooed Thoroughbred, but I don't know her name yet and I don't believe that any papers come with her. She stands about 16hh and is in pretty good condition. She appears to be clean legged and picks up her feet nicely. She has been blanketed and does have blanket rubs, but she is at good weight and looks good. She was calm and rode well in the auction ring and was reported to be a good pony club or dressage horse and has been doing hunter jumper for the last four years.

Sold on 2/6/2012 to Victoria
#134 -  Bay / White Paint Mare - $400

This bay and white paint tobiano paint mare is extremely attached to #133. The other mare absolutely refused to be caught and as this mare followed her everywhere, we were not able to catch her either. However, we do think that this mare could have been caught and handled if she had been away from the influence of the other mare. She appeared overall to be healthy and sound. She was curious about us and appeared to want to mellow down.

Sold on 1/27/2012 to Marissa
#133 -  Bay / White Paint Mare - $400

This white and bay tobiano mare appeared to be young. I believe that this mare might be part Arabian. She probably stands around 15hh and has a somewhat upright build. She is very anxious and high strung. She is rather herdbound and she absolutely refused to be caught. That being said, this is a very nice looking mare who will make an impressive horse once she is trained and worked with. She does appear to have runny eyes.

Sold on 1/27/2012 to Marissa
#131 -  Bay / White Paint Mare - $400

This mare is a bay and white paint. She is probably around 15hh and appears to be in decent shape. She is a confident and bold mare. We were unable to catch this mare, but she did not appear afraid - just unwilling to be caught. She did appear to be fairly young and underweight. She is buddies with the tobianos.

Sold on 1/26/2012 to Tiana
#130 - 3yr Grulla / White Paint Mare - $400

This mare is either a grulla or buckskin paint. She is very young - maybe 2 or 3 years old. She is probably around 14.2hh right now and looks like she will be a big horse when she is grown. Although we did get this mare caught and were able to lead her around, I do not feel that she is truly halter broke. She is curious and looks to want to be your friend, but she does strike out with her front feet when pushed. Her feet need some help and she has some minor wounds from being bullied by the other two tobianos. She is not buddied up with anyone although she kept trying to be friends with the others.

Sold on 1/23/2012
#122 - 8yr Gray  Mare - $400

This gray mare appeared to be around 8-10 years old. I don't know what breed she is, but she has an almost Baroque or Iberian look and movement. She was somewhat hard to catch (displaying a great deal of her beautiful movement!), however once caught she was fairly well mannered - if tense and scared. She appears to be in fairly good shape other then her feet needing done (she picked up her feet nicely). She is attached to the paint gelding #121.

Sold on 1/20/2012 to Denise
#143 - 13yr Black / White Paint Mare - $400

This black and white paint mare appeared to me to be in her early teens. She put up a grumpy face, but was really very friendly. She is probably a little over 15 hands and has over grown feet. She is well mannered and will pick up her feet for you, but she does appear to be a little sore on her front right. She seemed to square herself up when we acted liked we were going to get on her back, so she might be broke. She is attached and very protective of the Arab mare.

Sold on 1/20/2012 to Summer
#142 - 20yr Bay Arabian Mare - $400

This bay Arabian mare appears to me to be around 20 years old. She probably stands around 14.2hh and is a little sway backed. This mare is very calm, friendly, well mannered and polite. She also automatically parks herself out like a show horse without any prompting. She is a little underweight, but overall appears to be in decent condition other then her feet needing to be done. She is attached to the black and white paint mare #143.

Sold on 1/17/2012 to Sherry
#121 - 8yr Bay / White Paint Gelding - $400

This approximately 5 year old bay and white paint gelding was curious and friendly. He was one of the easiest horses to catch out of that group and once caught, he had very good manners. He is fairly tall, I would guess 15.2hh or so and in fairly good condition other then his overgrown feet. He is nicely halter broke and may be saddle broke at well if his handling on the ground is any indication. He was soft in the lead, easily gave you his feet and let you mess with him however you liked. His front teeth do have some strange wear patterns, so there might be an issue there. He was buddied up with the gray mare, #122.
