DescriptionThis chestnut gelding was a drop off with no information given. This chestnut gelding stands about 15.3hh and appears to be of Thoroughbred type but does not have a lip tattoo. From what we have seen of his teeth, we would guess his age to be around 25 years old. This gelding does appear to be noticeably lame when he walks and especially when he does any tight turns. His front right knee is large and swollen (doesn't feel squishy or hard like bone, sort of feels muscular/hard/tissue). He will put weight on all 4 and doesn't seem to be favoring any particular leg. He has some major scarring (as you can see from the photos) and has had at least a few injuries. All 4 feet have mild-moderate horizontal ridges/waves near the coronet. His hooves are very dry and need trimming. His pasterns, especially on the hind are very raw and maybe have some fungus/skin issues. Despite his condition, Boyd is still very sweet. He allowed handling all over his body and seemed content to just stand there and be petted. He lifted all four feet, was very good for haltering, backed on request and followed along on a loose lead.
