Please don't fundraise or contribute to fundraising for the purchase of horses! Read why here.
DescriptionRay was #615 at the February 2011 auction and he was purchased during the sale for RB. Ray was only about 9 years old, and looked like he would have been a really nice horse if he was cared for. Someone near his pen mentioned that he was registered and well bred. This poor boy never had a chance to shine because of his 8-) owner. He was very scared and shied away from anyone who went near him. He was emaciated, terribly neglected, and had something seriously wrong with his pelvis and entire back end. He was covered in rain rot and manure. All day he seemed to be in obvious pan.. he would rock back and forth on his legs and occasionally his front legs would tremble. You could see in his eyes that he was uncomfortable but trying his darnedest to put on a happy face. From the manure stains it appeared he had been spending a lot of time laying on the ground.
