Please don't fundraise or contribute to fundraising for the purchase of horses! Read why here.
DescriptionShadow (registered name Thelma's Boy) is a TB gelding that was brought in the the Enumclaw Auction today in very poor shape. His rear suspensories and hocks are completely blown, with his fetlocks nearly touching the ground when he walks. He is also very skinny and has fresh cuts and scrapes all over from going down either in the trailer or the pen. He raced a few times when he was younger, very unsuccessfully, and since then has been both a track pony and a pack horse in the mountains. He is tattooed but is NOT listed on Pedigree Query, nor is his dam. He was #364 and was purchased during the auction for RB. Shadow was a very sweet boy who had been the pack horse for my horse Hunter that I got at the same auction. He was very serious about trying to do what you wanted even though it was obvious that he was in a lot of pain. He was intended to go to QAR the night of the auction, but we ran out of time and instead he was put down by the vet at ESP the next day.
