DescriptionArtemis is a big black Thoroughbred mare. She is tattooed and if I am reading her tattoo right (photo provided) then she might be the 5 year old OTTB named "Frijole Baby". Artemis stands probably about 16hh but I forgot to actually measure her. She is very skinny and has quite a few scrapes on her from hauling. Her feet are decent and she is wearing brand new shoes. She does appear to be off on her front right, but she was not off at all on Sunday. I could find nothing wrong with her leg or foot and I did pull a big stone from her hoof so perhaps that is all it was but I don't know for sure. I saw this horse ridden and I saw her rider do all sorts of completely crazy acrobatics on, off, under, and through her. She showed the patience and tolerance of a saint and put up with all his antics while being very careful not to unseat or step on him. He rode her round backwards, mounted in strange ways, hung off her neck, crawled between her feet lengthwise from between her front feet, picked up her feet while underneath her, then continued his crawl under her belly and through her back legs. She just let him make a fool all over her and behaved herself perfectly. When I was handling her she was very sweet, polite, well mannered and easy to handle. She did everything I asked of her without any fuss and just seemed like a very nice mare all around.
Here's a crappy video of her...
