DescriptionPaltrow is a kind and gentle mare who came in with minimal info. She is a heavy built mare that stands 15'3hh. She was not sold as sound because she had previously foundered. Her hooves have been neglected and they are long and breaking off. She was not visibly lame at a walk, but I suspect she could have a laminitic episode soon as she is on free choice alfalfa at the lot. She needs to get off the lot ASAP before more damage is done and she becomes laminitic She would benefit from a good farrier and a low NSC/ low sugar diet.
