DescriptionFrankie is a nice gelding that anyone should be able to ride that knows riding basics. He has been used on trails, been taken hunting in the mountains, and is an all around nice horse. He did have a bout of laminitis about 10 years ago but has not had any flare ups since. He has pads on his shoes and is considered to be soft in the front when used harder and has been on Previcox up until last Wednesday. His previous owner did not note any ongoing lameness but he will be sore when used on longer rocky rides, and said he was kept shod because he was thin soled and also because he does not do well in winter mud without his shoes. She suggested maybe trying boots if someone wanted to keep him barefoot. He is UTD on everything and was well cared for and loved. He is approx 15'1-2hh and weighs over 1200 pounds. I have not seen him in person yet, and will update when I do with more photos and information. I am very appreciative of all the information she gave me.
