DescriptionMiracle was pulled from a slaughter truck after being shipped across country and being rejected for slaughter at the Canadian border. She was in terrible condition, crippled and in pain - however at the time no one was certain how much of her condition was attributed to long days on a trailer and how much was her actual condition. She was saved, rested, and taken to a vet. The vet had bad news. Miracle had many chips in her front fetlocks, both front hooves were sloughing and she had no cartilage in her pasterns. The vet had to trim, pad, and nerve block her to make it humane for her to travel to OSU, and said that she had no realistic chance of improvement and should be put down. Miracle was put down at OSU via the Rainbow Bridge Fund.
