Please don't fundraise or contribute to fundraising for the purchase of horses! Read why here.
DescriptionThis black gelding was said to be between 20 and 25 years old. He was very calm and sedate in the auction ring, whereas many horses are scared or nervous. He was a little thin, but overall was in good condition and good feet. He seemed to be pretty friendly and wanted to lick the salt from my hands. This guy is tall, probably around 15.2hh. He walks off in the back, not quite stringhalt, his legs kind of swing outwords and are a bit stiff. Otherwise he moved fine. He backs, moves his front and hind end over and was overall just a sweet, quiet old guy. He was fine with me throwing the rope all over him and with me leaning my weight on him. He picked up his feet and they were in good shape. I dropped the rope and he did not move an inch until I asked him to. Nice boy! He had a hard time chewing the alfalfa and will need his teeth done.
