DescriptionI visited with this mare briefly outside of the slaughter truck trailer. She perked up with attention but you could tell she was very tired from her journey.
After the auction there was an opportunity to purchase her and the bay mare off the slaughter truck that was heading to Mexico. She was purchased and joined this group as available for rehoming. Her journey was long and hard on her. It is unknown where she originated from but she and the bay mare were both rejected for slaughter at the Canadian border.
Mercy is underweight and has a crooked left leg. She was having some difficulty moving when she got off the trailer but appeared to do okay once she started moving again. She is a very sweet mare who loved attention and just wanted to be held. She has no tattoo and has superficial wounds, probably from her travels.
