DescriptionIlana is a sweet old mare. She has a fairly pronounced swayback but is in otherwise pretty good shape. Her feet are decent and she picks them up easily. She is said to be broke to ride and I don't doubt that to be true, she tolerated weight and seemed unconcerned with me jumping next to her. She is 14hh at the shoulder, 12.2 in the middle of her back. She had great manners and seemed to be pretty unflappable, she was very gentle and should be safe for anyone to handle. Ilana has a fleshy growth on her front left ankle, it was bleeding some at the time of evaluation. Her right knee has some hard swelling and she appeared slightly off on that leg so she is probably only sound for very light use. She is said to be registered but no information on her registry was given during the sale.
