DescriptionMaya is a buckskin mare of Quarter Horse type. We don't have any history on her. We are guessing her to be between 10 and 15 years old based on her teeth, but have included a photo so that you can judge for yourself. She stands about 14.3-15hh I would guess, but honestly I forgot to measure her when I was there. She is in good condition and her feet are due for a trimming but otherwise look good. She does have a very ugly lump on her left hind leg, but it is something old and it doesn't seem to be bothering her at all. Someone told me they thought this mare was lame so I messed with her quite a bit and I didn't see any lameness at all. She is a calm and easy going mare who was well mannered and cooperative. She lunges nicely and changed gait and direction on my verbal commands. She lifts her feet gently if you reach for them, ground ties, and drops her head if you have anything resembling a halter. The one thing she wasn't thrilled about was showing me her teeth. This mare is my favorite at the lot and if she had been a larger horse I would have bought her myself.
