DescriptionLamia stands about 14hh and appears to be in good condition and sound from what I could see. She is said to be green broke and was sold at this past Enumclaw auction. She was returned to the auction and is now in the kill pen. Please do not say I am not giving a fair assessment as I am giving an honest assessment and want to make sure this mare does not go to a home that cannot handle her issues or hurt someone. I approached her speaking to her softly and put my hand on her withers to give her a pet and a scratch. In about 20 seconds she spun around and kicked me with both back legs. I stumbled back and she repositioned herself and kicked me again. I took a few steps back facing her to gather myself and she moved towards me with ears pinned back. I moved towards her yelling at her and waving to move back and she did back off. I got a few pictures of her but everytime I would approach she would pin her ears and move towards me. When I would move towards her to ask her to back off, she would position herself to kick again. There was no warning with the first kicks so I took her seriously with her threats to kick again and did not attempt to handle her further. She was said to be a kids horse and was ridden through auction. With this type of behavior, she is not a kids horse and will need a professional to handle and train her. I do not recommend her going to just any home, or a home with children as I do not believe she is safe to be around. Purchasing InformationContact: The office staff can be reached at (360) 825-3151.
