DescriptionFrom her previous owners- "Montana is an 8 year old QH/Morgan cross. Montana is broke to ride but would do best with an intermediate rider. She has been on trails, ridden English and Western. She is about 14'2hh. Montana is physically sound and has not shown any lameness."
Very friendly and open with people, in fact she came right over and volunteered to be evaluated first. Nice Alpha mare confidence, she had no problems with anything that we asked of her during our time with her.
She soaked up any attention offered to her, and let out a big ol' sigh when we were done; I don't think she was ready for the attention to come to an end. She didn't even move off after we removed her halter, so she obviously thinks that people are pretty ok. Seems sound.
We did observe this girlie moving the roan mare from the rest of the group, then this girl would stand guard over the roan mare. This happened several times, I thought it was a bit puzzling as I've never witnessed a mare do this before. Seemed more like something a stud would do; moving a mare away from the herd and keep guard over her. And, yes, I doubled checked; #135 is a mare. She was fine with us approaching her best friend but other horses were warned off (except the bay pony mare, she's part of that group).
