Our mission: To serve the equine community by raising awareness and educating the public as to the plight of at risk horses destined for auction and/or slaughter.

• Prevention - Helping horses and prospective buyers pre-auction
• Intervention - Helping owners and buyers during the auction process
• Liberation - Saving slaughter-bound horses post-auction

The focus of Education is to raise awareness in both the horse community and the general public as to exactly what occurs in both the auction house and the slaughter house, and why neither is an acceptable fate for any animal.

In Prevention, our goal is to help owners who have run out of options and are in desperate need of a new home for their horse, usually due to financial reasons. This is achieved by networking to find potential homes, and helping the owner market the horse properly to draw more interest.

Unfortunately, we can't find a home for every horse, and some do end up going to the auction. During Intervention, we work with the owner to make sure the horse is presented as well as possible at the auction to ensure it has the best chance of finding a good home there. We also help prospective buyers who are looking for a horse but are not familiar with the auction process.

Liberation is the category which we all hope will some day not be needed. This is where we spend days after the auction gathering information about horses who were purchased by the kill buyer, and networking to find them homes. While we try to have as many homes lined up beforehand as possible, many people suddenly decide they can make room for a horse when it is immediate danger. Our goal is to make sure they have thought the decision through, and help them arrange to purchase and transport the horse.
